Words from a master smith
# May 10 2002 at 6:55 AM Rating: Decent
I am a human master smith of 211 skill as of May 10th 2002 on TP server. I have made enchanted (this is all Royal Qeynos human culturally made armor) versions of the platinum bp, gold boots, and gold bracer.

There are only two original human cultural armors. This being said because of the new trade skill recipes going in this week.
In Freeport there is the Seafarer's plate armor that can only be imbued (imbued gem for a specific diety).
For Qeynos cultural there is the option of making non-enchanted armor just for the AC and color.
The enchanted platinum full plate bp is:

AC 26, STR/INT 5, weight 11.0

I want some

Can't Believe i just worked my skill up to try and make this PoS.....It atleast better look good when i try to make it...ther are too many steps involved for one and molds and ore are too expensive...looks like i'll be making a trip to perma to get the ore
Is this Just platinum or enchanted plat?
# Feb 01 2001 at 7:45 PM Rating: Excellent
This has to be just platinum...Notice that the pic doesnt mention that it is a <magic> item...If i understand it correctly, enhanting an item, and imbuing an item are different, and stack bonuses. So that, if you imbue an item, it has one set of abilites, if you enchant an item it has another set, and if you do both, you get the combination of them both... thoughts? Any idea what skill level you might have to be to pull this off?

It should be enchantable, but imbueing is doubtful. Unlike popular belief, imbueing isn't to a particular race, it is to a particular god... and you need a specific gem and temper for that god... now there MAY be race restrictions on that... but Dwarven Brellium imbued plat can be wore by gnomes, and dwarves... halflings too I believe. But this is just armor. I SERIUOSLY doubt it is imbueable, but I may be wrong.
Hmmm

Ok, does this call for enchanted platinum? If so, why no stats besides AC? Also notice the weight. A 2:1 AC to Weight ratio sucks. Thats like getting a 2 AC item and having it weigh 1.

I'm gonna bet that the weight doesn't go down when you imbue it, so this BP, unless it has impressive stats after imbuing, will not be all that great.

I admire players that are still making the racial/religous armors. I just wish that the rewards were worth the risks.

Actually, there is an enchanted and imbued version for this armor. you do not need to enchant the plat bar for the normal version (shown).

Not really, it costs a ton to make and a huge amount of skill compared to just buying a commonly looted item (EBCP from LGuk).

EBCP sucks, ac 25 or ac 22, you make the choice. Clearly the ac 22 is the way to go.

Approx. price to craft this: ~5k with 13 cha
Approx. price for EBCPL ~300pp on Nameless

The choice is yours
