As of this date there is no entry for the (rumoured) new version of this sword from The Broken Mirror Expansion.

If you get this new version (hopefully you are running the item collector) please post under the bestiary page for what it drops off of (likely a raid chest of some sort).*

*if the bestiary entry does not yet exist for the npc/chest, then please post under the appropriate zone.

Edit: still no item collector entry for the new version, however:

reading back on these posts when this was UBER gear.....starting over on zek server would love to have it but at 31 would die very quickly in fear....and would still love to have it now, as the wos weapons are financially unatainable, atm...and there was a bug for a time that allowed 2hs weapons to be equiped in the secondary and you got its dmg and stats as if it was a 1hs....another bug allowed you to equip the 2hs in primary and a 1hs in secondary which was very nice but only lasted bout 2 days and they patch/fixed it (sigh)...send me a tell in game on zek if ya want to help me get one ...i will be bait for ya in fear happily....peace...
On weapon haste

Does anyone else find it kind of wierd that a weapon would have haste? Why not just lower the atk delay, since that's what it does anyway? It'd save people the trouble of figuring out how much haste it gives.

Did you ever stop to think that this IS better then just a reduced delay,,,stop to think about the warrior's damage bonus you would lose if it had a delay of less then 40

Makes the item even more unique, and builds room for better armor in that extra slot where the haste item went.

Actually, having haste ON the weapon, makes it much LESS desirable than reducing the delay. This has 36% haste. If they had just made it 36% faster, you could still wear a haste item like COF, and get an additional 36% haste. However, since haste items do not stack, you cannot do that.

30/45 item with 36% haste is the equivalent of a 30/34 weapon unhasted.

However, this weapon, weilded with a CoF would STILL be equivalent to a 30/34 weapon, since haste doesn't stack.

a 30/34 weapon with CoF, would be equialent to a 30/26 weapon.

So, as you can see, there is a really good reason that they put haste on this, instead of making it a 30/34 weapon.
This is a great sword, even with kunark and velious.

The haste effect is permanent, and it is a 36% haste.

So, the effective delay of this sword is :
new_delay= delay/1+haste
new_delay= 45/1.36
new_delay= 33

Yes, this is a 30/33 sword, and the haste is stackable with haste spells like "swift like the wind" (but not with other haste items like fbss).

Anyway, this weapon is really great, and there is a few weapon better than this, even with kunark/velious.

And consider the weight and stats of the sword to be definitively conquired by it ;-)

A Monsoon was found on the named golem "Fright" recently (still in PoF). I think we could assume that Dracoliche, Fright, Dread and Terror might drop this item (considering infos on different web sites).
