I just about keeled over with all this talk about blue diamonds. Then I remembered that Verant took the gem component out of the enchant metal spells so it would be a little easier to get this nice armor. Now all I have to do is help my friend get his skill up to the point that he can make some for my druid...

These gloves are made with both enchanted ore and an imbued emerald. There are no recipes for elves to use imbued gems with unenchanted ore like the dwarves can.

The recipe was: Elven smithy hammer, silk swatch, chainmail glove pattern, moonlight temper, imbued emerald, 2 enchanted mithril rings in the Felwithe Forge. But if you want recipes you really ought to visit www.eqtraders.com

The most appropriate price for a pair of these gloves would be: a stack (yes a STACK of 20) of blue diamonds, a stack of essence of moonlight, two stacks of morning dew, and a stack of swirling mists... plus some platinum for the easy parts. You may be surprised to find that the blue diamonds aren't the hardest to get. It takes several high-level characters and craftsmen to enchant the ingredients, no one character can make all the parts. And if your smith's skill is 'only' in the 205 range, there's a good chance he'll still fail all ten tries. I'll let you figure the platinum value of those ingredients.

For god's sake why would you even attempt such a costly venture? Better gloves drop in the planes and Velious. If you are high enough to make this you probably dont need it. If you aren't high enough, then you probably cant afford it.

There are a few reasons why I want to make these...the satisfaction of being able to make them, the look (Imbued Mithril is slightly purple in color, not grey like chain), and the fact that I can make them by myself instead of having to kill some high level mob to get something else. Better stuff can be had, yes, but it almost always comes from slow, rare, frequently camped spawns that one person can not kill by themselves. If you are not able to get enough high level friends together to get the things YOU want, you have to buy those items from other players. That can cost a LOT more money than money spent on trade skills, and once your skills are reasonably high enough to make one item you have a reasonably good chance of making another item. High level trade skills are a nice option for people with money to burn.

It's the same with me. I'm a level 34 High Elf Cleric. I can't make money (alot of money) by myself yet so i borrow alot from my fiance. But he knows and understands that i want to make the Koada'dal (enchanted/imbued) mithril plate armor eventually so that i can say look what i made.

Congrats to Sylphan. I know he had failed MANY attempts to make these for Bryll. FYI his skill was 218 last I spoke with him, no idea how high it was before he tried these again and got 'em.

There is no imbued only elven chain. These gloves are enchanted AND imbued. Yes each attempt ate 2 blue diamonds.

Forgot the imbued emerald and as someone else pointed out, don't think need enchanted mithril, just normal mithril works for imbued items.
RE: recipe incorrect

That is the recipe for enchanted elven chainmail gloves, which just have 2 wisdom on them, but anyone can wear them, These that they are talking about are the IMBUED elven chainmail gloves, for which only worshippers of tunare can wear. The difference in the recipe is it takes normal mithril rings and NOT enchanted mithril rings(which is a big relief because it takes a blue diamond to enchant mithril). And all you do is add an embued emerald to the normal elven chainmail recipe. The imbued emerald is created by a lvl 24(i think that is the level) druid of tunare. The ingredients for these gloves are easier to get since you don't have to worry about the enchanted mithril ore, and the stats on these gloves are better. Only downside is that ONLY worshippers of tunare can use.

Don't forget Cleric's can imbue as well, and for all of you who are wondering where can you find out some real solid info on these items. Walk into the Clerics guild in High Elf city, say [armor of protection] they will tell you to go to the Emerald weapon and talk to the master smith who sometimes comes in. Then go to the Emerald weapon, the store right in front of the bank. Once inside, hail the male merchant in the corner, I forget his name, he tells you to ask him about mithril plate or woodland shields. When u ask about mithril plate he gives you the recipe for each item, when u ask about woodland sheilds he gives you the recipe for those. For each, just say [mithril plate] or [woodland shields] I believe this is the imbued mithril, cause he tells you only elven followers of the mother of all (tunare) can forge this from the elven Forges. And he doesn't mention a blue diamond thingy anywhere in the proces, and furthermore he only says you need ONE sheet of mithril for some, TWO for the slightly complicated and THREE for the very complicated. Hope this helps guys, I for one am actually going to attempt this, they sound cool.

Hey!!! I know you! Hehehe I am glad someone has posted this recipe. I have 2 blacksmithing friends who might soon be high enough to attempt these. I can't wait!!
I myself am a Human Monk... no need for Elven armor, but many of my group are elves and will love this stuff.

As a High Elf smith i am VERY intersted in how to make these little toys =) Any feedback would be greatly welcome and i can come to your server and kiss your feet if that will help get the info outta ya =)
Don't bother..

As a high elf smith, I too was interested in making my cultural armors, especially since I could wear them as an enchanter. To get the exact recipe, go to http://www.eqtraders.com and click the Recipes link.

I'll make it short and sweet for you though. To make these gloves, which trivial at well above 200 smithing, you will need several moonlight temper, requiring many hours of camping in either Mistmoore or Kithicor after nightfall, as well as multiple blue diamonds, which as of last patch have been made impossible for blacksmiths to get.

I wish you more luck than I had!

One wonders why Verant put this in the game, if it so friggan difficult to make. First, you have to be pretty damn high to get the diamonds, your Blacksmithing skill has to be out of site, and you have to compete with every other high lvl out there just to camp the components. No thanks, I'd rather camp an uber mob or do some other ridiculously high lvl quest to get something abit better. Serously folks, to the ones who do this.....do you even have lives outside of your computer?
