Dreadscale Mask  

 

I'm Kollins Kahunas (thats my pic as of this posting) and I solod this with my 51 bard, the drixie was an easy kill the trick is getting her up and alone. If you've killed enough kunark goblins to be dubious or better to FV then you are safe to wander around as an iksar or other evil race, as an alterantive if you are a good race with enough faction in Cabilis you can quest this for an iksar. If you are kos in FV then you could try several things including have a good race track her down and pull her to you, they can even pull and zone for no faction although the hit is minimal, you could also just bum rush drixies until she spawns. Many drixies see invis so gather shadows won't help a whole lot. You dont need a whole group, my 51 bard tanked her without dispelling the DS so she's not that hard you just have to get her alone.

Nowadays most people don't seem to quest things like this in EQ anymore but for any left who do this one isn't as hard as it's been made out to be, probably one of the easier dreadscale pieces to get, at least a lot easier than arms or leggings.

Greetings Shadowknights. I just resently got the mask at 41, and have now completed the set. I found, the best way to do this is to hang around the area by the dolvargs(sp?). There's a lot of drixies around that fight with them and usually loose. One of these will be the ph, and she will eventually show up. Just have invis up and fd if you need it. You should be safe just as long as you let them fight eachother. As soon as I saw her, I darknessed her, the harm touched her when I had the chance to end the fight quickly. I took a few hits for 200+ nukes, but that was about it.

The drixie queens wings drop from a named butterfly (drixie in FV) by the name of Lady Chromoir.... err something like that. I'm not sure of her level, but the zone is FILLED with high aggro, see invis, hard hitting mobs that love to help each other. All in all, a hard quest for a good mask.... but that's what us Iksar SK's have to put up with for being the best class in the game :P

Drixie's are butterflys in firiona vie

Perfect Shadowknight mask, especially considering this is a fairly easy quest to do. It gives decent AC for a mask (banded is AC 4), increases your primary attack and max mana stat, and the resists are a nice kick in the pants. All in all, I'd say this is a thing worth questing for.
