A quest in stonebrunt turns this into a purified crystal dagger, with 4cha and +5 all saves. Still range slot equippable. Now how much is it worth? Check the page for the purified dagger.

Was in ToFS last night and this item was being dropped by the "Shadows". Watch out - they're ferioucous casters.

Even if an item doesn't have RANGE in the SLOT: line, if it has a range listed on it ("Range: 40" as this one does) then it can fit in the RANGE slot.

This would be perfect for a rogue like 10 and under. Then, when you getta better weapon, slap into the range slot. I have one in my range slot fer the stat boosts and it's really helpfull. I bought it fer 20pp, figured it was more expensive then that and was pocket change (at the time). Just don't set range weapon as a hot button if you have a stat booster there that you wanna keep, eeck, that sucks when you throw away a dragoon dirk or something (sorry little buddy, I will miss you my little dragoon dirk, hehe).

This item is a rather nice little dagger for a low level rogue. Because of it's speed it makes the piercing skill go up VERY fast. Also at low levels, the delay allows you to inflict more damage on the "tougher" mobs (Young Kodiaks, various cats) than you would otherwise simply because you are swinging more often. At level 10 I suggest getting something better for the primary slot because this thing doesn't backstab very hard. But DO keep it and use it to train your off hand skill up once you get Dual Wield at 13. Because of it's really short delay, your dual wield skill will go up like mad... THEN put it in your range slot if you aren't using a bow.

It is not all that. 4/18 is garbage compared to 6/22 or 6/23 from walrus tusk or Dragoon dirk, both of which you can get easy. The Stats were helpful to my warrior however in the ranged slot.. just waiting to get an Idol of the Thorned.. 8)
Don't pay much for it if your over 38, rather, get into a group in the Tower, 5th floor wedding, you will get one, and there is some pretty good loot there.

This items goes into the RANGE slot. Aye... it doesn't say so in the picture, but as a matter of fact I myself have it in the range slot. The stats are incredible for a range slot item IMO, especially if you take in account the price of this item. *Bought mine for 200pp*

I got this today of a guy i grouped with in High Hold in a trade for a Frozen Longsword coz he needed a 1hs weapon. I looked at the stats and thought "Sell this in Greater Faydark!" because all the casters around might want this little baby in their hand, or make a new caster just so i can use this.

Anyway, i think this weapon is awesome for a low lvl (1 to 10, maybe even more!) and might sell this........ maybe

I got this little dagger for 40pp on the Nameless server and am having much fun with it.. 5th lvl Magi and slaying Orcs left and right with it and help from the pet.. It is hitting for more than my staff in one hit due to its delay :-)

I got one recently in a trade (as a trade filler) with my main character and gave it to my twink Magician as his main weapon (figuring I would move it to the range slot, a la Dragoon Dirk, once i found a better weapon). Hits pretty good, usually 8 to 9 points at 6th level, and at that delay (1.8 seconds) I find myself soloing some decent mobs! Get one and try it out!
