They've removed the effect: Grim Aura and replaced it with a straight ATK +7 stat. (which is what Grim Aura gives you.)

But the most important part is that it is an instant cast item....which means you click it....then get buffed with normal buffs...then when you see it get dispelled....click it again. Holy crap the goblin skull earing has saved my **** so many times due to the grim aura you seem to think a nooby needs. hand em over to me I can rake a fortune while your well thats just dumb. This is a superb item.

I got one of these yesterday, and when I put it on it added 7 (I think) to my attack rating. I tried right clicking it and had no effect when targeting either myself or other group members.
This seems to be a fairly pointless item unless its for some quest.

Good thing to drop on a newbie i know as a Necro from the time i got grim aura i used it constantly until lvl 20 cause it gave you that little bit more of an edge in melee so your pet didnt get killed too often.

agreed, it is pretty useless especially for a high level caster who wouldnt even think of melee. but as a caster twink item (if you cant find ANYTHING else for neck slot) then this isnt a bad item at all.

I wouldn't be saying such things. Verant's twisted "Vision" is somehow spitting out some weird sightings. A 19/20 INT only dagger for starters. And one very sick staff..wish I could remember what it was exactly, but something around 15/18 with a 400 pt lure proc. It's mana-free carnage, especially if a necro in the raid is drained from playing manabattery =\
