You start to get a dmg bonus at lvl 28 I think, maybe lvl 29 before it shows up. No cap, just no bonus. two hander with over 40 dly recieves quite a nice dmg bonus I believe

G'day all,
Sorry to burst your bubble but it really starts at 28 :)
dmg bonus=(lvl-25)/3 for 1 handed weapons/arrows etc, (lvl-25)/3x2 for 2 handed weapons,
and add an additionnal +5 bonus for slow 2 handed weapons (delay>45 I think).
I used to whack mobs with an Enchanted Fine Steel ******* Sword (20/42 +7STR) until I got an Argent Defender yesterday in a trade with a kind 53 wiz (Hagardelest,thanks mate :) for merely 700PP (from wooly mammoth tusks) and a Whip of Strangulation given to me in my early levels by a Gravelord friend of mine.
I now sometimes double for up to 200-210 hps ! Not too bad for a weak (115 STR self buffed) woodie ranger huh ? WOOT !

Heh! You know how much I paid for this? 6 Gold! yep traded a backpack for it. some guy was giving away all sorts of stuff. Seems to me that I got pretty lucky

I am a levle 53 wwarrior on karana. My average with this weapon is arond 96 damage per blow. It works very well witha fbss.

what is fbss and what is there a caps past lvl 20's????

Fbss is a Flowing black silk sash, I think. It does the effect haste, good for fighters. And being a druid, I don't really know about damage caps below 20, but I hope that helped yeh.

A guildmate let me try this and I hit for around 75 and got a lucky hit in for 92... these are beautiful but I think the average price on that is a little too high... and it has the Runic Carver graphics not the Ornate Rune Blade like the one it shows here..

75 is the "sweet spot" the most common hit for this blade. 111 is my maximum at level 33, and I'm an Erudite.

This weapon is very nice and with an FBSS it becomes 33dmg 40dly My best crit is for 202 at level 40 and I haven't crip'd yet. Always seem, to have a good healer with me. I love the damage and all the ooh's and awe's when I crit for 180 or 200! I traded 2.5kpp, a yak, and 2 earings(4str 2 int) for this bad boy on Saryrn and I love it.

The average price is Quite high. Seems most go around 3K, I traded my Blade of Xalgoz. 23 dmg..40 dly and 1500pp for mine and couldn't be happier. At lvl 35, my warrior hits at 120 dmg and crits in the 140 range and 1 Bad *** Crippling of 258 dmg.
Until I can get up more pp, this weapon shall do just Nicely !!
PS, and ya, that pic is Really wrong. The Argent looks just like my BOX .

I had no idea how good it really is. I still am not hitting for what my max dam should be at 193 str with this.. I've seen maybe 88 as a max hit but read in weapon analyzer it should be like 118?
Is there still some kind of cap at 28 I don't know about?
As he says though the graphic is just a regular sword, not the big curvy blade cool thing so this FOH guy took an inventory pic of the wrong sword or they changed it.
