If you have the money to buy SCHW, get those and forget these.
The AC is nice, but by the time an SK is an appropriate level to have ally Coldain faction (I believe that's what you need), you can probably afford better. As I've made clear above, SCHW are superior... 5 less AC, yes, which is something to think about as a tank class... but the haste and stats make up for it. I would reccomend letting another plate class loot the corroded gauntlets. These really aren't worth it for SKs.
On a side note... for the SKs that have gotten this, what color are they? Curious minds want to know.

Don't have them, but I have the boots, which are gold.
To be honest I just was offered this quest and got all excited .. log on here to check out this awesome gloves and look to see in reality they really realy are not very good at all. I suggest if you want a good pair of gloved get Thunder Etched (20AC +wis +Int and other nice stats) forget the 15AC stuff if you gonna be a tank then WEAR the armor!
if you can't afford the Thunder ones Blood Ember are the BEST way to go and I suggest using them over this to save the extra spell slot

Got these recently in Kael with my SK, jumped on here to see what I needed. Not going to bother though. My Worn Zraxthril Gaunts are far better.

THese are kind of hard to get, and blood ember gaunts can be picked up in the Bazaar for 1k, so why bother?

You're probably better off with Royal Velium Frosted. 15ac 5sta 25hp, and now there's an crafted version that adds 5 cold resist.
Easier to obtain too. 2str/int isn't that great of an increase for an SK, the extra hp would help out more.

Ok i just got these today, I've been using blood ember gaunts (1 more AC and a free cast of darkness). These are great, even though theres a 1 AC loss and an extra spell slop taken up (if you have darkness mem'd). But i still keep my BE gaunts on me just in case i abolutly NEED to cast darkness off and have no mana...so these are good, go get them if you can.

This armor has the same stats as PoG/mischiff armor for all classes so the cleric PoG armor has the same stats as cleric thurg armor or the Sk armor only difference is the look and how u got it now that they nerfed the drop rate on PoG these might be easier to get all im lookin for now is my 3 gems the kael armor has more ac then all the quest armors more stats then thurg armor skyshrine has a bit less ac then kael more then thurg but better stats for iksar the better stats the way to go u already got huge ac bonuses all these armors are counterparts to the velious plane armor they just look different and if u go with the kael/SS armor u get some better stats effects on the BPs from what ive seen stay the same to

This armor its really nice, however, the SK armor you get from the giants in Kael Drakkal is much better than this although much harder to get.

2 more AC, 2 magic, and 1 dex in exchange for 3 strength and 3 int, and some cold resistance, does everyone think that's worth it? i guess so, they say AC is really the only thing that matters, what do you all think?

These are better then the gauntlets of the black. 2str loss, but you get more mana, abit of resists, and same ac, and abit of other stats that will help with overall hp and agi.

Huh? Guantlets of the Black are AC 15 +4 str +3 wis.
In exchange for losing 2 str you get 1 dex, 1 sta, 2 int, 1 agi, 10 mana, and 2 sv magic. That is more than a fair exchange for shadowknights, especially since you can now cast your spells without resetting your melee timer.

Exactly the same stats as noctivagant gauntlets from growth and better than my gauntlets of the black IMHO which iksar can also wear.

as i experienced are the POG, Trug and Kael gloves same stats, most likely the Skyshrine things will be to, only difference is how ya achive em, and the colour of the worn armorpiece. Test it out yerself

can ya explain a little more an the color thing? do kael armor look diff from the armor quested in thurgadin? or is it another case of velious armor looks different on each race? or did you mean the PoG gloves have the same stats as the quest armor and that armor loks diff from the qest armor?
