For everyone that hasn't mention it yet, it's a royal pain to recast D-skin every 4 minutes and this extends it to nearly 6, so now getting ext. enhancement is actually worth your time as long as you are there anyway.

It's wurine guard as specified ? (limited to beneficial spell)

OR Zombie malaise as the picture show ? (bad icons ?) limited to detrimental spell

nm. I was on wrong item.
Was thinking of the Echo trinket.
Lucy listed it as having wurine, when the effect was really zombie malaise

You need to fix the slots on theem they do indeed fit in the foot slot.. and dang those are nice boots.
Lol never though id see the day a pair of boots has more ac then the artifact qeynos shield. Those are perfect for shadowknights...

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't pass it up if someone wanted to hand it to me... but the focus is not as SK friendly as it sounds.

Check out the Piercing Ring of the Torturer from this same event... now that thing screams SK.

Actually if the spell data is right this is a much better Clr item... 35% extension on HOT's and other buffs seeing as how this is a 24 second check instead of the normal 48s. Now don't get me wrong this is nice for any of the listed classes but i'd think a clr should get it first seeing as how it will help them more in the long run.(and you too as it saves em mana.)

um.. i have extended enhancent 5 on my cleric and it catchs my HoTTs... yes i know this because i tested with Pious Elixer, took off item with extended enhan. 5 in GH and cheked timer when i cast HoTT on self (sense the GH dont count down the timer) HoTT lasted 36 seconds, added extended enhan. 5.... recast, lasts 42 seconds, think it checks off of your AAs before it checks off of your items then with the AA extension it puts it over the requirement for items to hit it...so trying to claim that this is best for clerics due to its buff extension cuz it works on HoTTs...dont work lol cuz apearntly all extension works on HoTTs is ya got the extension AAs.

You are so right Debby this focus effect takes over the top Extended Enhancement spot for Beneficial Spells at 35%.

I will spell this out to all the Meat Head tank types out there.

Heal Over Time spell from your cleric normal duration is 24 seconds or 4-ticks. With Maxed AA's of 50% plus the fancy boots here jack that Extended Enhancement up to 85% ! 85 % ! 85 % !
Without going into all the tech. stuff on tick theory let me just say the Cleric wearing these boots will be landing HoT's that last 8-ticks and some of us believe there is a chance of the Cleric going to 9-Tick stratosphere with some additional help.

Mana saved from doubled duration is priceless !

Pass to your Cleric boys it will help you in the end.

Any cleric at this lvl that is wasting time and mana firing HoT's does not deserve the boots. CH's are definately more mana efficient.
Once you pass the 4hr buff timer with AA's and focus equipment, chances are the buffs will be clicked off for fresh during down time anyway.
Yes. I play both class's (warrior and cleric)and a chanter, all lvl 70.

Could you see an MA'ing Pali firing a group HoT for agro? The extra tick won't hurt him or his grp. The SK with the extra dot action.
Meleeing clerics worry about mana, because they are so caught up in what they should not be doing, instead of fulfilling their group role, and insuring they have mana to do their job before jumping in to melee for miniscule damage.

So, the real question is, how could you play both a cleric, and a warrior, and know so little about healing?

Yes, Ch is mana effficient. on the MT. On the other hand, what do you do for the guy who is kiting adds, and pops in and out of spell range? Or the group member taking some AE damage? Or the offtank when you get an unexpected wanderer. While that 10 second CH is slowly casting, and BOTH tanks are dropping...60%....50%....40%....30% Yay CH hits tank one, tank 2 at 10%, gee I sure wish there had been some way to heal him while that CH was casting. Ow, someone peel mob 2 off me...

For grouping mana is rarely ever a problem barring hard content or raids. CH is a powerful spell, but no one just uses CH as a high end raid cleric. Heal over times are common, they are low aggro, mana efficient, and... they can be used before the mob smacks someone.

For raids, most people like MGB heal over times in heavy damaging ae encounters. Longer lasting = less in group healing mana. Though i haven't bothered to check the effect on the celestial regen line myself :).

But I agree with Komzur, Pongu you should really learn some game mechanics before making class generalizations. And no plane of time is not a high end raid zone anymore.

Did you read the other posts? Or were you in too much of a hurry bragging about yourself.. Pongu's post screams E-bay i.m.o.

Smiley: twocents Clerics would greatly benefit from this item. Seeing as any of the other classes capable of wearing it probably have their Attack Rating maxed with buffs and what nots. (No Pongu I don't mean Attack + items capped at 250)

Smiley: twocents The spell shield is nice, but it's more nice for clerics since they oft get in trouble for taking care of themselves before others. Better to prevent them from getting DoT'd or Blasted in the first place!

Smiley: twocents Hah. Regen? It caps at 35 total + regen pts. So it helps non-tanks of any type, but any tank or off-tank past level 55 isn't going to really notice the difference in the HP regen, nor the healers notice the extra 70 HP their CH's squeeze out.. but you might notice a couple few more tics from a HoT (Those are the spells frequently casted by raid "HoT designated clerics" Pongu)

Komzur hits Pongu for 1405 damage!
Pongu is stunned!
Komzur hits Pongu for 2000 damage!
Pongu is unstunned.
Pongu regenerates 35 Hit Points.
Komzur executes a flurry of attacks on Pongu's Posting!
Pongu shouts; "Someone get Lord Nikkon over here! I can't handle this pressure!"


P.S. (Edit) If you want some good boots for your E-Bay Warrior Pongu, try showing us you actually play the game and didn't just buy your toon by crafting your very own set of Vadd's Boots of Elite Combat
