Charisma has nothing to do with taunt. go find what VI have published about it. Go find what people who have gone through spattdef files etc have written about it.
If you're outtaunting higher level warriors, I can guarentee you, it isn't because you have low Cha

The lower your CHA, the less liked you are, i.e. the higher you are on the mobs' hate list. For taunt to succeed, you have to stay at the top of the mobs' hate list. Anything that will put my warrior higher on the hate list is something I want. I have tested this out and with a CHA of 25, I can out-taunt warriors up to 4 lvls higher than I. When I have a CHA of 60 or better, I lose that edge. So yes, I want this for my warrior and when or if I ever get it, I will use it rigorously while fighting.
i wish allakahzam would make a filter that gets rid of all "low cha = better fear" posts im tired of hearing about it heh ive tested it with 8 cha and with 167 cha and ya wanna know the difference? maybe 3-4 seconds if that and if your playing where 3 seconds makes THAT much of a difference then maybe its time to look into another class to play. I just love the fact that theres people running around wearing that iksar pariah mask or things with -30 cha just cause they read somewhere that "fear lasts longer"
I want this helm now, i hope it looks like a plate helm. With the luc graphics i'll look creapy as anything, plus the minus CHA will make my instil doubt skill work better, and that really upstes a guy, running for no reason, and getting backstabed, plus my poison procs. Oh i cant wait for it hehe.

Some named spider in upper dogs, I believe, not sure where it was, but a named spider dropped one.

Boy I love being an Iksar...22ac on a helm for an Iksar with the ac bonus equals phat AC! This and my Iksar Pariah Mask (5ac -25cha) would put my CHA to -5 :P and who cares if its weight 10, 22ac easily outweighs the fact that its wt10.

When did he say he was a monk? Iksars CAN be warriors or SK's right? A monk with this helm is a moot point. They can't wear it. I see nothing "st00pid" about his post at all. Be sure to read before you flame. I'm done flaming you now. :)

Is it possible to have negative charisma on your characer? if so my character will ahve -2 charisma when i put this on. Never heard of anyone having negatice charisma before though. Maybe it will just put charisma at 1 or 0? Anybody know the answers to these questions please reply.

Simple... when you go to the store, you take it off and put it in your backpack... when you are done with your shopping, you put it back on.

Well, the answer to that is simple.. You either have a muley character for yourself with high CHA, you have a friend with better charisma buy your goods, *or* you just take the difference in price (which isn't really all that much) and deal with it.

The minimum value for all stats is 1. Go to bank and convert all your pp to coppers, then carry them on you. Your AGI will drop down to 1. Nothing lower.

Keep in mind folks using these items that are minus to Cha will effect your ability to use fear spells. I believe that is why Verant has been adding so many items of late for necros/SKs that have Cha penalties to reduce the use of Fear kiting. Just a thought as you load up on some of these items.

CHA has absolutly no affect on fear spells. My sk regularly has a cha of 24 and i have no problem at all with fear being resisted or lasting for short durations.

Cha does effect fear the lower the cha the better your fear works, it was posted on Eq castersrealm a couple of months ago. My necro has a char of 20 and fear last forever.

i'm not so sure of this. i've used fear kiting tactics before with my enchanter friend casting fear. his charisma is well over 150 and doesn't have any problems with the spell.

fear as per class is regulated more less by the character attributes , evil races benefit from lower charisma like SK and necro where enchanters are set up to utilize hi charisma for their spells. and ugly enchater will not charm or fear well as a a hi charisma necro will not fear well , it has to do with class set up for how pos or neg charisma affect fear spells. they set it up this way to try to make sense in what our classes strenghts are , not what they should be..IMOHP.

This MYTH has been going around SO long its not funny. VI finally came out and said that CHA has NO effect on fear spells at all, and only a MINOR effect on charms (with the major being level difference).
It truely amazes me that after almost 3 years people don't understand the game better.

Never heard of it doing anything with fear. It affects saving throws for creatures for bards and enchanters on charm (meaning the more the bard or enchanter has the better) It affects prices.
That is what verant said it affected.
I believe fear is a target saving throw spell, affected by the targets magic resistence with nothing at all to do with charisma of the caster.
Verent doesnt always tell all, you don't have to play very long to figure that out. Not sure either way on cha. Heard for and aginst it on fear.

it hardly affects mez, it strongly affects charm, it dosent affect ench stuns from my logs, it has *no* effect on fear from my old logs (like 3 months old)

its most likely NOT fake, it is a skull your wearing on your head, that would logically give -cha, and there is some mask in lake of ill omen, forsaken Pariah mask or something ac2 -25ac no drop, is that fake too?

I personaly would not be supprized to see this. A -35 cha is not going to make a melee reject the 22 AC on their head.

its not fake. they Would make a -35 charisma if 1> if your walking around with a SKULL on your head. 2> a shadow knight <which gets certain bonuses for a low charisma> can use it 3> balances out the bonus ac.

Err, what bonuses do Shadow Knights get for low CHA? Just curious, as it's one of our prime requisites you know =p
Negative Charisma enhances Fear procs, longer kite, and a more frequent porc. It also helps with the monk/rogue ability Instill Doubt, and natrall fear skill.

You gotta love this, really. Thing is, I'm guessing 90 percent of these morons that cry "FAKE!" every time some new item comes about fail to take into account that Allakhazam actually PLAYS the game, and thus can verify damn near everything he gets! IMHO, I don't think he'd post it if he wasn't able to verify its existence first, and being 58th level (or thereabouts), he can verify it pretty quickly.
