I would think the value of this will drop with the emergence of the tailored Studded Acrylia Cloak. SAC has 10Wis as well as a few other stats, not as high AC so tanks will prefer the Dragonwing Cloak, but for Casters the tailored cloak will be more than sufficient. Eventually the Studded Acrylia Cloaks will drop in price, much like tailored Othmir has and I believe the trivial is lower so expect more tradesmen to be selling these.
This is not to say Dragon isnt better, just that price is bound to drop since it does have a similar counterpart.

The way I see it, Palidens are screwed more than druids. Palidens cant cast, we cant fight,we cant heal worth sh*t,and the only spells that are good,oh wait, we have none. I think ya all should stop bickoring, shamans can do alchimy, and druids can port. But ohhhh we need wisdom items, well i have one think comein for ya, palidens get lay of hands which can only be used once an everquest day! So I think ya all should stop bickoring and keep at the subject. So what zone does this drop in? Western wastes? How rare is the random drop?

I don't know about these 'Palidens' fighting, or casting, but they certainly can't spell.
I do know many Paladins who fight well, cast often, and spell beautifully... you must not be one.

agreed, i know many fine fine pali's out there that can fight and cast very well. they make an excellent(i cant spell either /cry) support class

We're not supposed to be the main tanks--though we can if built correctly. If you want to deal damage, make a warrior. If you want to heal, make a Cleric. erm if you want to deal damage, make a rogue, a monk or a ranger - these three classes will (as a general rule) outdamage warriors :-)
as for Pallies being gipped (sp?) - same answer as anyone saying any other class is being ripped off. They aren't

You Clerics have had it way too easy. What I mean by this is look at all the Plate classed armor that has Wis on it that netiher of the other 2 manin Wis casters can use.????

Lets see we can't snare, our roots rarely hold past one nuke (dots? what's that), if we dare cast a complete heal chances are REAL good the mob will be all over us (figure we will cast several in serious battle plus several smaller heals). Clerics get better AC because we START the battle towards the top of the Hate list. If we try to solo (forget anything higher than blue) we need the AC to protect us when the dang root doesn't take or the mob resists, we unlike both shaman and druids can't out run a mob we have to take the beating till we can stun it or get a root to take, we can't kite, we don't get pets (other than warriors of course <grin>). The offset to this? I can wear plate. All classes has ups and downs, you chose the class you play, if your anywhere in level you've discovered the good and bad. YOU chose to continue playing that class, so deal with the bad, enjoy the good and stop with the class envy.

There is no WAY this goes for 100pp like said above, its one of the FEW wis giving cloaks in the game. Whoever put that justs wants to buy one himself for that price.

when will druids learn that they are one of the best soloing classes in the game so they dont need that much ac when it comes to snare nuke run reapply as needed give me a break and stop whyning jeeze it makes me sick to see druids complaning about equipment when shamans get screwed the most in this fruiting game if you dont like being a druid get rid of yer char and try being a shaman then you will have the right to complain

Shaman at least have good armor they can quest for. I don't see druids having a specific armor with wis they can quest for. They may be able to solo, but they can't solo very well unless they have a higher wis, which gives them more mana. I have a lvl 35 half lef druid who's wis just hit 150 and I have not been able to solo higher than blue cons until now because she keeps running out of mana. Druids NEED the wis and have a right to complain about not being able to find proper armor.

Sorry but you don't get passed over that much. You get almost all the same heals as a cleric for a long time. It isn't until later in your eq life that your heals start to fall behind. You can solo better than shamans or clerics. You get damage spells much greater than those of a cleric and I think they are even better than a shamans. As for the quest armor, only the bracers from the cleric quest armor, give wisdom. They only give 5 wisdom at that which is the same as runed mithril bracers and chipped bone bracelets, both of which a druid can wear, so don't say cleric quest armor gives clerics any advantage in the wisdom area.

So u can imagin how much I get harrassed about being over powered :( Let me put it this way... U go to the car dealer ship they sell u a nice car for what looks like a good price and then the manufaturer calls u up and says "Um Im sorry but U have to return your car because it came with extra options that we didnt know about... <CHOKE>" AFTER U PAID FOR IT!!! Instead of bithching about every one else and how our so under powered and every one else should be nurffed to your lvl why not do some thing better for your self. Incase u havnt realized VI is trying to make an effort in to bringing up all classes with gear and abilities. Any one who has not played the game for at least a year should shut the FU***k up. Geez, it sounds like if you choose one class, that's it, you are stuck with it for better or worse. If you think Druids have it all...then create a druid character. If you think another class has it all, then create that one. Create them all if you want. Its only time that is involved here and if you like EQ, then time is what you are here to spend. Everything in this game is available to everyone. What you get is based on what choices you make. Don't want to play the quote / unquote superior class? Fine...that is YOUR decision. This game is wonderfully rich and for those with a true sense of the big picture, well balanced. Which is not something a person with myoptic view of a single class can see.

The pattern I've noticed.
The Dragon(skin,horn,leg,wing,etc.) armors come in 5 types. Matchless, Peerless, Heavy, Reinforced, and Worked, From best to worst.
For the most part the pattern is +or - 1 to the AC and stats for each level. It is wearable by chain and better classes and drops off dragons in Western Wastes.
The slots that I've seen armor for are Face, Wrist, Arm, Back, Feet Leg, Waist, Hand, and Shoulders. It's likely that there are pieces for chest and maybe neck out there.
So there's probably a AC 15 +7STR +11WIS Matchless Dragonwing Cloak out there somewhere.

Yes there is a matchless Dragonwing Cloak as when I got My Peerless My guild also got a matchless and the Stats are AC 16 +7 Str +11 Wis

I am sorry, I was not going to say something like that here but all I see is druids complaining. The things your class can do is ofset by what you can wear. You are one of the best soloing classes in the game so what is the big deal if you don't get a few pieces of armor. You do some nice armor that is druid only to start doing more constructive things than complain.
Okay.... now after all the miserable whining and complaining, can anyone post someo info about the creature and zone this item is from...? Very little seems to be posted yet about the western wastes, and I am curious.

Alittle spoiler here so pay attention.It is a random drop off all dragons 51-54.Hope this helps also good luck finding dragons below 57 hehe

You really should reconsider what the heck you're thinking when you say that druids are getting screwed over. And if you dont' like that, go make another character. The way i see it, Shamans are the ones getting screwed from the beginning being a caster with nothing but (at the most) 115 wis to start off with ( and that's an iksar, the highest it can get regarding any race for a shaman ). Really, I just think druids are a bunch of spineless little complaining children. Not only can you quad kite and solo better than any other class in this game, but you also have the ability to port and all that. The way I see it, you're at the top of the food chain.

She had the best of the best non planar equipment... and reached 170 wisdom. Yes, she has 80 base wisdom. Recreate? I made her waaaay before it was proven that wisdom had something to do with mana. I didn't find out until level 20, at which point I was far too attached to her. 2 years later, I don't complain about the fact that I can't reach 200, but it would be nice.

From what I have seen with Velious loot is that verant is ******** druids... I see a lot of SHaman and Cleric wis gear but hardly and druid stuff...

Yes I did make my character wrong in that my base was only 105 wisdom but all but I think 2 items I wear can we worn by a shaman. I don't think it is very easy for any of us to get to 200 wis, especially compared to how easy it is for a caster to get to 200 int. I am sure all 3 of the priest classes have items the other classes wish they could use. Not all of the equipment I would like is necessarily wisdom based either.
