because of the delay.....very low and its cheap....good to work up 2hslash id get a weapon that had 1 damge if the delay was fast enough.

Just wanted to point one obvious thing about this weapon that everyone is overlooking...Its a CEREMONIAL Sword...which means its mostly orinmental. Think of it as a weapon to wear to a wedding or some kind of ...Ceremony!...Thats why its cool looking and lousy for melee. So go to the barber,shine up your armour,get a nice flower for your lapel and equip this weapon(and dont forget to kiss the bride)...

Exactly my thoughts Bigno! =) I got one recently while camping the chancellor. I thought to myself... that would look cool at a wedding. I also went and bought a FS BP (red to match), and am looking to pick up some matching greaves. That will be my wedding outfit. Purely Ceremonial It is quite an cool looking weapon though. I wonder if there is soem other sword with the same graphics, but in blue. That would look real nice

This can be had in normal situations in the low 20's. Not to many people solo in the Sarnak fort, but if you did, you'd only need to be around level 24 or 25 to attain solo. This dropped off of a Sarnak Adherant when I was in a group at level 23. I lost the roll, but even solo this can be had earlier.

Ok! You just gotta calm down man, it is a good newbee weapon for twinking characters when your a low level and wanna twink someone. Just calm down, ok, we know you don't like it, you don't have to shout about it.

I have a DE SK that has this but i dont use it, i use a grobb cleaver, and besides this is extremely hard to sell cause no one wants one!

I have a Half Elf Warrior wearing a full suite of Red Dyed Plated Armor and the Sarnak Ceremonial Sword and IT LOOKS GREAT! You'll be surpise how many people will crowd you with compliments.
I think this sword it only good for looks, stats are ok, but not all that great...

I have read some of the other posts and I would like to state my opinion!! Hehe I dont believe this would be a good weapon for a straight warrior BUT how ever if a Pally Ranger Shadowknight were to use this as a secondary weapon when acting as a caster in a group the magical bonuses then become more valuable and the use as a melee weapon isn't that bad, It sounds to me if your getting low teens for hits with any dmg 8 2h sword you need to spend some points on 2h slash and find items to raise your strength!! Both these facters have a direct effect on damage!! I believe this is a fairly good secondary weapon for "casting warriors" while acting more as a caster and for the price i don't think you can find alot of +20 hp +10 SV Magic items!!
34 delay rocks on a two hander for those interested in keeping skills up and 20hp and 10MR never hurt anyone either not to mention it weighs 8.0 which is comparably light for a two handed weapon.

Hey dopey, there are obviously better weapons out there, we know it, Verant knows it, but you don't seem to know it, if every weaapon was the same then hunting for a special weapon would not be smart, selling things wouldn't be profitable and being noticed wouldn't happen. Use your head wise guy!

Guess you do not understand this weapon. No it is not the best out there, but that does not mean it is horrible.
You hit damage is tied into your str, therefore, higher str means more damage. Also, when fighting magic users you will really appreciated the Sv Magic +10. It will increase your resistance, therefore, help keep your but alive.
Again, yes there are better weapons out there, but everything cannot be the best.

It is very rare that you will see a sarnak with a weapon. From 20 to 24 in the lake of ill omen, I saw a sarnaks carry a blade of passage, a ketchatka kora mis, and a sarnak great cleaver, didn't see one o' these yet.
