Ofcourse Champion's are better to wear, but if your STR isn't maxxed at 255 yet, keep the Cobalt Boots in ur weight reduc bag and cast them like i used to.

Which is better these or the cobalt with 25 ac?
Is the one less ac offset by the hp and agi bonus?

Well my friend, these are undoubtably better than Cobalt Guantlets. With 24ac 5agi 40hp, they are undoubtably some excellent goves for a warrior. Cobalt guantlets are also excellent warrior gloves, yet they lack other stats. The buff on the gloves is always fun for a warrior. Yet if you have the amrs, the buff on the guantlets is useless. Unless someone in your group needs a 20pt str buff that only lasts a few mins. The arms effect is 25str, which is self-only and lasts for about 30 mins. Upon getting these guantets, is sold my cobalts ones and used the funds from the to buy Lodi boots (casts 10ac buff) and now i can still buff other people. Plus the 10ac is always nice to throw on. Hope this helps,

First off...The arms cast a Lesser Shielding. The Boots are the ones that cast the STR (Strength of Kunzar) spell.

But, yes. The gloves are better.. You lose 1 AC.. But the AGI of 5 give you the AC point back.....sorta. ;)

Both cobalt boots and guants cast str buff but they can't even stack :P I'd rather have these than cobalt also.I'm just four pieces away from a full set of champions armor. As I mentioned before I just got the champions boots and I'm handing down my cobalt boots to a guildie.(Aren't I nice?) I just need these guantlets, the crown, greaves and of course the bp then I have the full set :)

To answer the question on which is better. I, too, am going to upgrade* from cobalt to these. The stats are the difference. I have had cobalt gaunt's and boots, both have str spells but the gauntlets spell fades fast and the boots spell for that matter is lower then the buff you'll get from anyone at thevel that you're grouping with (assuming here that you are grouping at least at 44 level). But I do see these as an upgrade to Cobalt gauntlets. BTW I upgraded my boots with Cultural stuff. I will probably do the same with the Gauntlets but the opportunty for these came first for only the cost of the gems.

To add to the last 3 posters comments.

Cobalt gaunts have good ac, but the str buff sucks. It is called reckless strength. Which is a 10 str buff that counts down like a dot does. At the end of the buff before it wears lowers your str by 10. It can not be clicked off. It has to wear off.

Cobalt Boots have the same ac of 25. The effect "strength of the kunzar" provides a 25 str buff that lasts for 30 min.

There has been times when I have grouped where there was no Str buffer in the group. War, Clr, Enchie, Monk, Rogue, Mage. So having the Cobalt boots in your inventory is a viable option.

I wear champion's boots, but I keep a pair of Cobalt and Indicolite boots on me at all times. Cobalt for the Str buff and Indi for the +15 poison/disease when I need that extra boost.

An update...

I got a pair of these last night, finally, and the ones I have list races as ALL (which means those slimy lizards can wear them now.)

Is a 45+ group really needed to get the corroded from Kael? And who does corroded drop off of?

Me and a monk were duoing a bunch at a time in arena..maybe 3 or 4 at a time with ease. Hes 65 and im a 65 druid. Not to hard to solo if your 60+ either

Nope, thats a bit off..you might get in on a arena raid at 45..but you can't take a group into arena and hold till till about 55+... thats what we normally do, get a good group of 55+ and just clear the arena...otherwise, you need to tag along for a raid..and really, you should be 50+ at the raid..or else there are gonna be some un-happy people with a 45 Xclass winning this armor that is a upgrade from there planar.... well, level some, and good luck getting them.

bahh went on arena raid when i was 39... some people will let ya come along if your lucky

REMEMBER if you do get there at a low lv try to stay behind the mobs to avoid ripostes and if the mob enrages you wont die in 4 hits...
Gauntlets Color

On a female halfling the gauntlets are slightly darker shade of white from allot of the Velious Ice. Not the see through ice, but the white stuff. They really look like white leather. The texture doesn't look like plate at all.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 01 2001 at 8:03 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Yes, not like plate at all. On a half-elf they look like retarded leather to. I'm so ******* bored im posting on everlore, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Better than bezerker

Str is soo easily maxed for a Warrior, these gaunts kill the bezerker imo.

Yeah str is soooo easily maxed for a war if your a orge or a barb ;p Ac is all anyway so more ac=better, make your own decisions though )
berzerker??
# Jan 16 2001 at 9:55 PM Rating: Default
these gauntlets have the same exact stats as berzerkers gauntlets from the plane of growth except iksar can wear berzerker, and instead of +5agi there is +5str which is more helpful in my opinion...
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 16 2001 at 6:25 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) And yet again another blow delt to the Iksar Warrior if the info above is correct.
RE: And Yet Again
# Jan 16 2001 at 6:39 PM Rating: Default
