Rune-Etched Stone  

 

This guide is a compilation of posts from these forums and my experience with turning in the stone. This can be difficult to do, so please be patient and take your time clearing.

The Rune-Etched Stone is the first of the blocker items dropped in Demi-plane of Blood to block the zone wide debuf you get while in the zone. This being one of four stones, it will reduce the affect by 25%. To turn this in, you will need to follow a series of steps or have someone plant the guild banner or a campfire in the same room as "Irrissa the Seer". Irrissa is in a room that is locked and you must have access to the Vule area to get to her. There are also three to five aggressive mobs around her. Two orcs and three wandering driders that can see-invis. These all hit for around 1100.

Gain Access to Vule Section
Locate Doorman
Say "Who is the master?" to Doorman for "Memories Lost" Quest
Find Keleborn Redwave in Shadowy Student area
Slay Keleborn Redwave to retrieve "Daily Log"
Return "Daily Log" to the Doorman

Return back to Shadowy Student area

Enter Vule Section
Click on doorway to left side of Shadowy Student area
Slay the aggressive mobs around Irrissa

Locate Doorman
Once you click over to the main castle, the Doorman can be found about 3 sections to the north, past the ballroom. I did not encounter any aggressive mobs along the way. He will be on the right side after you click open a set of double doors. Hail and say "Who is the master?" to him. Then follow prompts to get the "Memories Lost" quest. This is a group task, so all in group will gain credit when you turn in the log.

Find Keleborn Redwave in Shadowy Student Area
This is a little tricky. After you get the quest, then go back to the castle's entrance. Standing at the castle's doors, look into the entry hall and then move to the right up the ramp. You will see a ledge on your right. Turn right on to this and follow it back towards the south wall. Take the first left hallway, then make another quick left back to the north. Follow short path to it ends, then turn right into a alcove. On the right will immediately be a door that you click on. This will port you out of the castle into the tower on the first section of the zone. Now go down the ramp to the right. DO NOT TAKE LEFT. Follow this ramp all the way down to a doorway protected by two orcs. Slay the orcs then go into the Shadowy Student/Keleborn area.

Slay Keleborn Redwave to retrieve "Daily Log"
Now here you will need to slay Keleborn, who is non-aggressive. Keleborn hits for about 3600 and rampages those on agro list for the same. He also has a ton of hits. All of the Aids in range will agro when you attack Keleborn. In addition in the room, is the Shadowy Student or its shadowmane placeholders. These are all aggressive and the student will assist if Keleborn is attacked and in agro range.

Return "Daily Log" to the Doorman
After taking out Keleborn, loot and return the "Daily Log" to the Doorman. Run back up and turn in the log to give your group access to the Vule area.

Enter Vule Section
The door to the Vule Section is to the left side of the "Shadowy Student" area. once you click into the "Shadowy Student" area, follow the wall around to the left until you find another clickable door. This is in the main room were all the Shadowmein mobs are. Send your tank in through the door first since there may be see invis driders on the other side of the door. Once there, form up your group and take out the aggressive mobs. Make sure to snare because the dryders will run. Once the three or so mobs are taken out, then you can turn in the stones to Irrissa to receive your buffer.

You have to be keyed for Vule's area. Or get a CoH / a corpse drag + rez or just be keyed. You turn this into a mob in that area, and your DP AoE is lessoned.
