Hah, another expansion where leather gear has no dps mods. Strikethrough and attack. Guess I have to be satisfied with that.

ST is nice when Im tanking RS, but thats as far as my prowess as a monk takes me. I have to mention thats also with a very capable slower and cleric.

It seems to me like the developers have no sence that monks and beastlords have no business in front of any raid mob. Lest we want to be wailed upon.

But cheers for the avoidance mod!! Half my gear already has one and I'm nearing its cap. So if I choose to take this helm *cough, I, wont cough*
Ill be over its level of effectiveness. Ditto for strike through now.

These are armor archetype sleeves, with a dps mod. Albiet indirectly. Come on SoE, we know you can do it for monks and beastlords too if you try hard enough.

I have to agree with the other posters. for a while rogue dps was second to none. Im in an anguish/2.0 pretty much decked out gear type guild. The highest DPS generally is Berz/Monk/Wiz/Rogue

Yes, monks being one of the top 3 sustained dps classes in the game just isn't enough... please give them more...

While you're add it, let's give bards a dragon fang ability, oh maybe even triple attack lolz.

Last I checked dragonfang is only a 40 dps increase. It was given to us through a horrible implementation, rather than just up a monk's melee dps by 40 points we have lazy developers adding "melee spells" to do their jobs.

And last I checked DF does not scale at all as a monk progresses. Backstab does, you can bet your **** it does. Any and all of the rogue's dps AA's increases its *directly or not* effectiveness does it not? Show me one monk aa that makes DF more effective? Show me one item exculding the DoN quest reward and the Oow teir 2 tunic that mods DF? Not exactly accessible to every monk out there huh?

Look up a Death's Maw Dagger. Its a tradeable pigsticker with a backstab mod. Shows how common its getting.

As for triple attack, we got that because we're PURE MELEE!!Not only that monks got that inherently during Velious.Which is what, 8 expansions ago. We did not get an aa that built off that until our flurry one from GoD. Now even rangers get it. Which Im not complaining about. But it show's sony has no regard for what pure melee classes were supposed to do.

And before i get off the topic at hand, I was making a statement about this HELM not about the monk class. I was asking why dont we get dps modifiers like chain classes do? Is it because leather only has one pure melee , while chain has rogues and berzerkers ??

The gap between rogue DPS and any other classes DPS has been closing substantially for quite a few expansions now. The only place where rogues are safe from this is the VERY top end where we still come out 1st in 90% of parses... I'm talking Anguish gear with 2.0

I'm a level 70 rogue and I'm still using a Velium Gemmed Dagger while I wait for my guild to schedule my 1.5 raids... There are a couple of upgrades out there that I could get, but spending 340 DoN pts isn't very attractive when I'd sell it back as soon as I get my epic.

Rogues are "PURE MELEE" and don't get triple attack. We do good DPS without it only because of backstab. The problem is... Until we reach our 1.5 or better, there's nothing out there! Death Maw's Dagger would be an upgrade for me, but in the six months it would take to level it up to it's highest form, I'd already have better. Any other class can go do MPG trials and eventually get Rime-encrusted Pikestaff or Despair for their main hands and seriously out-DPS rogues who can't get anything better until they can get into an uber raid or put together their own for 1.5

I guess my point was... Rogue itemization for our main slot sucks, just like itemization in general does.
