As a monk I would rather stay with Tacvi Gloves than use these.

First off this loot is junk if you're anguish flagged. If your not then too bad. These 5/5 raids are only done for flags and not farming. And did you notice its for leather classes not just for monks, not everything in the game is gonna be Ubertastic, specailly since this is still the 2nd tier

This assumes that anguish flagged means fully geared out in a set of anguish armor.

Most of these pieces are fairly close to anguish quality, except for the lack of variety in the foci. Our lower DKP people, who don't have all their anguish gear yet, gobble up the gear off these raids. Except for the silk, that pretty much rots, but then that rots on DoN dragon raids too. No suprises there.

Actually, mine and a few other guilds do this event for farming. We're not even close to anguish lol.
Seems our cries have fallen on deaf ears.

I can't speak for the druids and beastlords in the audience. Whom all I'm sure love the avoidance mod, mana regen and spell shielding on these gloves. Personally, I like the avoidance mod. But as of now I'm reaching its cap on effectiveness.

So when my guild decides to focus on DoD, which will be after we complete .5 of the 6 OoW trials, and when we fill out coffers with that sweet, sweet gear from OMM. None of these effects will mean anything because Ill be either at, over, or just below the cap they provide.

However apparently, SoE has taken up a habit on ignoring the monk's communities pleas about DPS modifiers.

Is attack alone a feasible reward for a monks DPS?

I seriously hope these trends changes. But im not holding my breath. Perhaps the monk class armor from DoD will be a bit more decisive.
