Ruins of KunarkThis chest piece drops off a rare spawn named "Dustback" in the Frontier Mountain. He looks like an ordinary burynai. You have to trigger the FM rare spawn cycle to get him to spawn he will not spawn everytime. I equipped this BP and yes it does not have a graphic so you look naked with it on. After the last two patches he drops this everytime..so this item has been recently added.

Was gona say very new or very rare as I would have been very supprised someting from Kunark hadnt been found yet.

Posted: Jan 12 2001 at 12:47 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) too many things about it that are all wrong....the monk listing with the incompatible races....possibly yhe coloration....and also, the dusty line of armor drops in howling stones and weighs a huge amount...this BP should weigh like 40 if it fit in the true dusty line of armors
There is a rare spawn badger thingy in Frointer Mountions, called Dustcaller, or something like that, (drops Dustcallers Crystal Ball or soemthing like that). Incompatible race/class combos are pretty common.

My group acquired 4 of these last night, which was one for each of us because they are lore. The item drops off a named burynai, Dustback, in the NW corner of the zone.
The Dustscryers Crystal Ball drops off of a goblin in the SE corner of the zone. It's not the same mob.
This BP is a great item.. the AC on it is in the top 20 no drop breastplates in existence. Small races rejoice. :)

This is very real, and the photo isn't a fake. killed him 2 times and both times it dropped, i just laughed hard when it had monk on there and they can't wear it cause of race restriction..
It's just really sad that it's not a fake :(

I scored one of these the other day and tossed it onto a female woodelf warrior. To my delight and supprise she became topless (still wearing the green thong bikini suit) Am hopeing to find some other gear that has no graphics to toss on her so she will look like a newby and have some sweet armor on LOL
Silversilk leggings & Feathered leggings for the legs will get you partway there... (Feathered gives +7 sta, so your sta will be pretty high.)
Bone Legplates are also no-graphic, I think.
Bone Armplates, I think... but I could be wrong about those. (+5 str, but -4 dex... ouch.)
Sleeves of the Ancients are another possible for the No Graphic look... but they're No Drop, so your warrior will have to loot them herself, and they're a very sought-after item.
Last possible for sleeves are the Azure Sleeves. Again, I'm not sure if they give the bare arm look.
As for the wrists... well, the jewelcraft stuff is No Graphic... don't know much else that is though.

not necessarily, seen other items with strange class/race combos, such as shadowed weapons and armor, class is warrior, race is none.......

yea, people need to start editing them in the bitmap form instead of converting them to
jpg and then editing it. the WT looks like it's a little offset to the left a little too.

Have you ever tried using a bitmap to jpeg converters to post images on the web? It puts fuzzy **** over text in a lot of cases, depending on color. Quality of graphic is not a pointer to it being fake.
Come to think of it, it's amazing. About half the items in this database have a comment from some child saying it's a fake.

As far as I can see it is plate classes and the ever-elusive non-Human non-Iksar Monk. Please change the text that accompanies this screenshot, I almost lost it seeing something better than a RS chestguard dropping in FM off 'creatures'. It is Bard not Rogue.

i equiped this on my DE cleric, and it just looks like you have no chest slot item. the name of the breast plate ought to be a clue to what this drops off of. Never seen this drop til after the last patch.

I think it's a misprint on varents part. If a rnager could get a hold of one then i think they would be able to wear it. or just e-mail verant and they should fix it the way it was supposed to be

it's a breatplate, key word there "PLATE" rangers can only wear chain. this item is bugged

uh lessee Barnacle BreastPLATE Mithril BreastPLATE then there is the Thorny Vine PLATE hehe so yes we can were SOME plate =)

Bottom line is: there's no consistancy in the way Verant names items. Rubicite breastplate also comes to mind. Although named "plate", they are technically chainmail since rangers and rogues and shamen can wear them. I remember reading a post quite some time ago from Abashi saying that rubicite is indeed chainmail even though it appears as plate on the person wearing it.
Can't always go by the name when you try to classify what type of armor something is.
