Anyone know if this works on clickies, like say the nuke bracers from kunark?
Mana Flare adds a 550DD proc to the casters Direct Damage spells.
The buff lasts about 1 minute. It can be cast on others. It's essentially the caster version of Shaman's Leopard/Panther melee proc.
I ran some tests: I was casting the lowest level nuke I still have (level 7 nuke). The nuke takes almost no mana because it's so low level, and casts very fast. so basically you can turn this into an almost mana-free 550DD with your lowest level nuke.
I didn't appear to gain any aggro from the extra damage on the effect.

DPS = agro
The more DPS you are producing, the MORE agro you are generating. Am not sure how you could say such a statement.

WRONG. How you generate the DPS determines what aggro you get. Procs like these generally don't add hate. Spell crits do not generate more aggro either (contrary to a ton of people who don't know what they are talking about). Resisted spells generate aggro as if the spell landed for full base damage.
Go research it buddy. It's a lot more complicated than DPS==AGGRO.
