This rock sells for 200k and up on FV.
The bazu seals ( complete.. 30 ac.. 180 hp/mana and the effect) start at 500k a piece..
Stats the same ? ? ?

WHat is the difference between

Baleful breeze
breeze
and favorable breezes?

I don't see any stat difference...is it just flavor so not everyone has the same exact one?

The recipe list for this drop is incomplete. There are 24 different seals available. Don't make the same mistake I did in thinking there are only 4 combine options. There are many others like Parry, Block, and Dodge. I'm a warrior and I made the Ferocity seal. I already have Ferocity V on another item. When I went to magelo to update my profile, I noticed the other seals.

I really would have preferred to make the Block seal.

Thanks. I hadn't consider that either. Now I just need to get something with the Parry mod then. Getting the block seal would have been even worse.

I think it would be best if these augs had been restricted by class somehow. Perhaps doing the combine for the block seal could be limited to only monks and beastlords. Maybe the tradeskill system doesn't allow for something like that though.

Block does nothing for warriors my friend, only monks and beastlords get that skill . Because the improved block III spell is a 24% boost to the block skill , a skill of 0 + any percantage will still equal Zero.

eqtraders has the best list of anything tradeskill related, here is a link to all the different bazu augs.

wrong.. if you look at the skill mod it says "inate"
when you look at the spell effect ones it refers to the skill it requires.
i put block on my cleric (he has shield block 3)AA)
the differance however is 24% more likely than before, which wasnt much to begin
with lol. but i did notice a little increase of block, which is alot, if that one extra is the one that saved your ***

now that i check my legs i see that my paladin does indeed use block when he has his shield on, so i guess you are right. the dodge mod is a worn spell effect and not a skill mod so it must still work even if you dont have the base skill.

Your paladin blocks with a shield on, coz he has the Shield Block aa, which works TOTALLY independant of any block skill... And improved block will not modify shield block, and if you remove your shields its easy to see, you wont block any hits at all, even with a improved block mod...

Improved block is Monk/BST stuffz.... Wars/ran ect get Parry.. and monks/bsts dont, so they cant use parry, and wars ect cant use block.

Get your trade skills up and tell the people who are charging and arm and a leg to take thier high fee's and stick them where the sun don't shine. IMO. I would rather spend a few hours getting Trade skill up that to let some smug money hungry person rape me with the cost. LOL

RE: Laughable

Yep,
(skill check) required trade skills:
252 Brewing
276 Tailoring
276 Baking
231 Research
296 Brewing for 2nd part
342 Smithing for last part

Although this can be done with lesser skills than these posted, but prob not with a few hours of getting your skills to 150 or so. As you can see from my magelo, its not an easy task to do. I'm currently working on smithing and every 1 or 2 points represents a few hours of work.

this stone is for the final combine whoever loots it is the only one who can do the combine since it is no drop but turns into 180 hp aug with stats and effects that are determened on witch set of instructions are used for the combine .. and it is a type 12 slot aug end result

well yes that's technically true, but all the final parts for the combine Are droppable, and the combine itself is a non-fail in a droppable container. IE you can have 0 for all tradeskills and still get the end aug.
It's not for only tinkerers
# Dec 21 2005 at 10:37 AM Rating: Decent
The stone can be looted by anyone because the combine that uses it is made by gnomes. They make the container to combine the final ingredients, is the way I understand it.
RE: It's not for only tinkerers
# Jan 08 2006 at 5:30 AM Rating: Decent
The container itself is made by tinkerer's only but the various subcombines in order to make the container can be done by anyone.

Either or, anyone can loot one of these, just those who have no tradeskilling can expect to pay in excess of 100k for an AAAA to do the combined and probably another 100 to 200k for the focus and seal.

The deal with the new augments is that ANYONE can loot the stones (aka the only no drop item).

All other items used to make the augment are tradeable.

1) Need xxx stone (Firstblood/Bazu/Discordant/Chronal)

2) Same Steel/silk (Fine, Shimmering, Mottled hide,Magnificant) (Used to make the seal) Smithed/Tailored/Tinkered

3)Mechanoinstruction (This places a foci effect on the augment) Research combine) and done in (Scrindites Mechanoinstruction Holepoker

4) Final combine container (Ambleshift's Amazing Automated Amalgamator)

oops..
it also seems you need smithing skill cause one of the parts is over 320 trivial in blacksmithing. So this item needs parts from other tradeskillers but hopefully the endcombine is possible for everybody..we will see.
One part is Bazu Seal and it is sold by some smithers atm in bazaar.

Tinkerer Item

Only a tinkerer with highlevel skills should loot, for others it could be waste if this item is really notrade (but I am not sure if the last combine could be made by anybody or if they change that cause you need some tinkering items to complete this augment). It is one of the main parts for the Bazu Augments. But you need some very rare pieces to complete this endless quest and develop the mechanical system to form this stone with some other pieces into one of many "level 2" augments ;-)
Augments seem to be made from

1. Lost Blood Stone
2. Bazu Stone
3. Discordant Stone
4. Chronal Stone

The most powerful should be the Lost Blood-Line Augments. There are some merchants who have the ingredients for sale to complete the other main parts.

Of every line there should be different augments possible for different classes, this depends on the recipe.

And it seems, only lvl70-Ubah are lucky to get these things even if they are only Slot12 Augments for DoN-Gear (((

Happy tradeskilling

Iorak

a lonesome and sad little Grandmaster Tinkerer who bought this expansion only for this augments and is hopefully disappointed...

heres something that might have to do with this - there is a merchant near the sm bank named Amile Pitt. Since the DoD expansion launch i have noticed that she sells some new stuff like "bazu parts mold" and "bazu water". Try combining some of those in tinkering or jewelry or whatever and see what ya get. just some crap i noticed
