These are definitely not common, but I've gotten about twenty of them so far in Stoneroot. It feels like about every forty random mobs are so one will drop. If you can pull alot of mobs at once without dying, the mushrooms will drop at a reasonable rate.
These are exceedingly Rare. I got one in over 100 kills from mobs from the above lists. Does anyone know where these are "Common"? Anyway, I think the Rarity level should be changed.

Common is the default until someone notes what it really is and it gets changed. I agree it is very rare.

Had it drop off Drachnids in 69.1 normal and 69.1 hard so far.

i think its a zone wide random drop.....looted one from a ragepaw......which one i don't remember but had been camping them most of the day and found just the one
Can be sold as Vendor Trash for 134p and change with good CHA but used for tradeskills so may be able to get more in the Bazaar via trader for it.
not just for those Exquisite Truffles but for a new recipe as well..

drops in the Ruins of Illsalin instance mission Temple of the Korlach: Praetorian Guard (70.2).... can't remember which mob it dropped from.... another item marked for tradeskills yet with no known use yet =\

It's used in making Exquisite Truffles.
Wonder what makes the so exquisite when Ohabah Truffles are pretty mush the same thing. Better for melee even. And easier to make seeing as how the mushrrom to make those is a common forage.
