Ok to whomever posted that its ALWAYS found on the triggered Oracle spawn... that's wrong. I have killed him twice now and no shield.

You are not killing the right Oracle my friend, You need to start the huge war by doing the ring quest and believe me when the war is triggered you'll know about it!!!

Depends on what oracle you talkin about, but when we did 5 rings, got 5 wars started, 5 oracles spawn and we have 5 shields, that kinda starts to tell ya something.
now if this oracle is the one from scarbrow, then no he wont have it, if hes triggered in the fort, when the chief is triggered with his head, and firebrand getts triggered carryin eaithr his gloves and a hammer , or duel wielding YES duel wielding 2 hammers, then he should have it
BTW FB has spwned for us in the war 2 times with 2 hammers 3 times with 1 hammer 1 gloves

It seems that they do drop off of the regular oracles in Eastern Wastes. He didn't even kill the mob, just looted off body (he's only lvl 27). Why do some people always get lucky? Oh well, keep up the hunt, I know they are there.

Lay the hell off of him, he doesn't know. The rumor before Velious came out was that you could not zone in until level 30, even the people at Electronics Buteque <sp?> were spreading that one...
Not only that, but Velious is a particularly unsafe place to be if you're under 30. Considering that to get to the Rygorr fort, you need to cross through 2 zones infested with monsters who are blood red to you and most of them eager as heck to kill you, you may not want to think about going there until 30.

then its UBER RARE on normal oracles, but its always on the triggered one, my guild has 5 of these

he is triggered in the final war for the 8th velium ring, only 1 of him spawns

Actually, A LOT of them spawn. I just camped out a little while ago and when I was watching thw quest done, like 10 of em spawned.

I submitted the pic and shield when i sent it in i said his name was Ry'Gorr Oracle , not a oracle of ry'gorr , no its not new, camp the oracles all you want you wont get it, hes a TRIGGERED mob. my guild has the only 3 so far on cazic, and soon to be 4.

Just a guess, but I'm pretty sure that Ry`Gorr Oracle's are spawned when you turn in the invasion plans along with Scarbrow. I could be off but Oracles definetly spawn with Scarbrow when the plans are turned in.

I would guess it's the insignia ring, the part where you Give Korrigain your obsidian coldain insignia ring. He gives it right back. At this point, run to the rygorr oracle camp near the dragon bridge.
When Icefang arrives, 3 oracles of rygorr and Poxbreath Yellowfang will spawn.
I would guess one of them is holding the shield.
but its only a guess..

She said it's the 8th stage in the ring quest.
I've grouped on the Ry'gorr oracles, both the single and the chief area, enough to get 3 entire sets of Ry'gorr and the neck, arms,orc fang necklace and orc fang earrings billions of times (the legs and coif are rare on the oracle, but do drop, bp doesn't)
I've never seen this shield drop or even heard of it. Darn looks like I'll have to camp that oracle again now = /
Anyone actually seen it drop? This beats a CGS really and has a cool graphic. I'm going to look now, but I bet at the single oracle there is a huge line now.. ahahah.
Hmm just read at the site for the creature itself that the cloak is said to come off it but drops in crystal caverns. Maybe this is another case where the name makes people think the eastern wastes oracles drop it. I never saw cloak off these either and 2 posters say they got it in CC ( I assume off the oracles there, which are much lower)

The Crystal Caverns Oracles I've killed are very green compared to the ones in EW, so I really can't imagine this coming from CC. It may be a new rare drop on the level 47-50 Ewaste Oracles

The original poster posted on another thread and pointed out that it does not drop off a oracle of ry'gorr but off a ry'gorr oracle, a triggered mob for a quest, most likely for one of the insignia ring quests I'd guess.

it comes of an oracle that spawns when doing ring quest,6 of our guild helped a second guild do the ring quest we all died both groups but we killed and got shield before death.when ring quest is initiated there must have been at least 30 high lvl orcs and giants spawn.death soon follows heh.
