I don't know if this thing is a random drop all over Kunark or what, but I just had one of these drop off one of the skellies in ChardokB of all places.

Confirmed that this drops in Chardok B off a revived sarnak and / or iksar skeleton

THIS SWORD STINKIES! its got a horrible delay! now a days its all down to delay delay delay! and anyways there is a much better selection than this for sk/pally/war. like darkblood sword, and a few others. id lay of this wep cuz its 2hs. needless to say i was dissapointed when my pally got it!

Someone told me that this weapon was used for Iksar SK epic, anyone have some info about that?

I see at least one auction everytime i go to EC for an abram's axe of the stoic. Sometimes as low as 1k and thats a nice 30/46 weapon with nice stats and an invigor proc.
ok haveing one my self i know how sweet this sword is. here it is for ya (some little stats)
level 35 paladin, 121 str,2hs/1hs/bash/double attack all maxed for level= i can hit for high 80's low 90's with this. if i were to switch one of my items my max hit would be for 95. i've doubled for 88 with this and i just owned the mob.
now the major thing that sucks is the dly but at 35 i'm getting an 11 dmg bonus so its good to me. this is more of a group type weapon/support tank weapon then a solo/main tank weapon becuase of the dly. now paladins don't have to worry, once you get flash of light you can keep that aggro for a very long time. they should have really made this weapon with some kicking graficts but o well it will always kick butt till the EPIC comes along.

25/50 is all well and good but if im goin to have 50 dly id rather have a runed frost blade which is 34/49 with 75 hps and 15 svc for roughly 1500pp
save a lil more and when you lvl 40 you'll be doing hits for 130

I was just handed the sword and have yet to use it.
It does good damage compared to the sword I was useing.(Crystalized Sword) at just twice the speed. I can't wait to see it in action....

lol i got given this sword at lvl 1 by a very nice warrior,now im lvl 17 still got it but dont use it as much.

At lvl 17 you have a damage cap on your weapon of 14, effectively leaving you with a 14/50 weapon. This means that even with 200 str you won´t be able to hit for more than around 32 or so.
At level 20 the dmg cap is raised to 24 (Not sure about that number tho) and you´ll be able to get a whole lot more out of this weapon by then. Point being: Keep it! :-)

your close, but after lvl 20 there is no more damage cap, if you had a 50/150 weapon (theoretical weapon) it would still be a 50/150 weapon, not a 24(?)/150.

Those are the stats on the weighted axe I think.. at high levels the damage bonus on that is like 90.. making it a fun weapon for a drop in a newbie zone.

I got this sword for 175pp yesterday did i get a good deal?
Also sure the delay makes this sword less than uber but at my level 51 damage a swing is pretty good. Also what level does double attack work consistantly?

150 is a magical number (or a soft cap, depending how you look at it :-) in EQ.
When your dual wield hits 150 you´ll dual wield a whole lot more than at skill level 149.
When your channelling skill hits 150 you´ll acutally be able to regain concentration if you take a few hits while casting.
Same goes for double attack. So remember: 150 :-)

you got a good deal... not great but good :) anyway double attack will work consistantly when you get it maxed out for your lvl for you I think 110 is maxed ... it willl work alot but not all the time I am also a lvl 21pally I recently got my ghoulbane so I use that now :)hope I helped seeya

I found the sword on an Orc in CB. Was in mid teens then.. am 25th Pally now and you couldn't buy my sword from me. I love it... and now with double attack, am getting ferocious hits.

If you're not a warrior (hello Paladin here) this is a fairly awesome damage dealer. It's nice to be able to hit for 80 and then double attack consistently for 140+. Use it and you couldn't pry it out of my cold dead hand without offering something better. Sure does make taunting MoBs of the main tank for a few seconds a heck of a lot easier

Ok, I'll give it to you, for the level you need to be to get it, it does suck. But let's think for a min. Aside from planar gear (which your grouped for anyways), when someone gets a weapon like this, they sell to a lower level so they can buy something better. It does suck compared to other things out there (Noctavelant blade, I know I spelled that wrong), but your comparing it to things of higher levels. Next to my corrupted ghoulbane, almost everything sucks, but hey, I get it, I give/sell to a lower level. So stop putting down weapons and realize there is a use for all of them.

Funny how some people don't understand about fitting the weapon to the situation instead of the reverse.
A Mace of Shadowed Souls is effective when you need to beat the daylights out of a critter that can cast, doesn't have a damage shield, and isn't packing a thousand or so hitpoints - much less anything that has a riposte back for more that you hit for. You pull out the heavy two-handed weapons for beating on on those things that hit for 100+ and where 60 hp is maybe half a percent of its hp - especially when your facing things that hit VERY fast when you have riposte and can return a 20 point hit for a 90 point one.

Well, just sitting by the bank in kelethin, a woodelf came up to me asking if I would trade my ssb helm. I said sure for what? He put this sword in the window, the helm is gone hehe. At lvl 4 I hit for only 29damage, but I cant wait till lvl 20

You can't hit for 29 at level 4, the damage cap at 4 is 21.
