Better leggings for Druids out there
# May 13 2002 at 3:51 AM Rating: Default
The effort required to get these leggings is not really worth when you look at the stats. Sure the mobs that drop vermiculated armour are quite easy to kill, they don't have so many hps, but breaking into Fear requires a guild effort. Kromriff military leggings are better than these and as a druid you can solo them at 46 easy. Elysian leggings that drop in Umbral Plains is even better, i mean they drop off elysian remains which are the only mobs that don't summon in UP, how much more fortunate can druids get :-). The nice planar druid armour drops on 2nd floor in Plane of Hate. Stats are equivalent to Thurgadin quest armour, with the nice right click effects of some pieces.

This armor isnt bad
# Jul 31 2001 at 11:26 AM Rating: Decent
Guys, if you really stop and look at this armor, when your on a raid and casting, odds are your going to be casted on and killed instantly. But...with this gear that auctually adds resists and some of it adds wis and AC to protect you, ITS GOOD for raids, some of it can replace my armor now, and im 53. You guys have to look past the wis and to other stats on it, the mana on the ones that dont have wis also helps when your in certain situations.

I agree with you Megolas. You still have numerous slots left to equip yourself with +wis items. The stats on this armor would greatly increase the stats that I am currently lacking in due to my obsession with high +wis items. Now I just need to find a way into this zone.
Silly ppl..

I bet most of you complaning about the heavy weight dumped all your skill points into wis when you first started hehe. I may have a base 105 wis, but I do know I can wear a full suit of this and not worry about it weighing me down =) Althought I havent bothered yet to get any atm cos there are a lot better things out there.

This is absolute ********** Every other class gets good Planar armor except druids. Our entire suit of Vermiculated has 3 pieces that give WIS bonuses, and that is it. The Arms suck, the Gloves suck, and the Helm is a joke. I swear, if everyone claims druids are 'Verant's Favorite Class', then why the hell would we get ********* stuff like Vermiculated?
HEHE kromif hide legging is better then is legging from fear

For the time it would take to get these you could have gone to college and med school. Planar stuff is an absolute joke. Spending 1/2 your life to get a full suit of planar armor is just not worth it. planes were made for greedy people anyway so let them stay in the planes and bicker like kindergarteners.
Nasty end of the stick.....again!

Looks like Druids are forever going to get stuck with crap like this. Anyone who thinks different should check out the new BP that drops on the Plane of Growth for the Shaman. The BP has a +14 WIS for crying out loud! There are new Bracers that are for all classes, except Monks and Druids, that have a +12 WIS, and aren't Lore, so you can equip 2 of them! Verant definately has it in for us, my bretheren. Yar, we can solo for a greater portion of our careers, but to go to the Planes and get trash like this is too much. :(

Hmmm, let's see Verm BP has +13 wis and drops off a mob easier than anything in PoG, and we haven't even seen what the new quest tunic gives. The only other legs in the game that are better AC and WIS together are ES Greaves (off good ol Venril Sathir for 2 AC, 1 wis, and 55 mana) or the new Rowyl's Greaves (Quest for 1 AC, 2 wis, and 70 mana). For those people who don't have Kunark or Velious, Vermiculated are the best leggings you can get, and you can't tell me that you wouldn't wear this "trash" if it so happened to drop. :)

Then stop crying and yelling, and let me loot them :)
some things to consider
# Jan 03 2001 at 12:08 AM Rating: Default
As these items were supposed to be uber before the release of kunark, i'd have to agree that they do indeed suck... now, compared to elder spirtist. HOWEVER, as i play a druid i know that i am never even close to my carrying capacity. in fact, i usually run out of room in my inv. with about 6 or so packs, well under half my weight cap. I do have to pull master loot duty alot, but thats cool. druids dont make a spit of difference in meele unles you have the epic or a weapon with a decent proc (walking stick comes to mind) so doing more dmg. with a weapon is meaningless. so who cares if our planes gear weighs more than leather? after all, it is supposed to me made of metal, unlike the rest of the junk we put on (which is prolly made of hemp ;)

1 more ac and 1 more wis than gatorscale at the expense of weight when druids have the lowest strength stats of the priest classes? And to top it off they look like dull etched ivy. I don't see it as that good a deal. As a druid, I run out of weight allowance usually before inventory space (and that's with bags).
Besides, all planar gear is anyway is a status symbol. And there is a LOT better gear out there that gives better ac, wis, and look.
Just my two copper.

You just got to love a Druid that puts Happy Kiting at the end of his posts=(
umm suck?
# Jan 02 2001 at 11:04 PM Rating: Default
These suck! I have to go to the friggin planes to get pants that are barely better stat-wise (while being 14x heavier) than GS legs?
RE: umm suck?
# Jan 03 2001 at 7:46 PM Rating: Default
Then dont go there foo ! No one said you 'have' to go and get these. If you really like your GS legs better than stick to them.
RE: umm suck?
# Jan 03 2001 at 2:36 PM Rating: Default
Weight: 7 STR: +3..the way i see it it ends up weighing 4 as you just buffed your str 3 so the trade of isnt that bad
RE: umm suck?
# Jan 02 2001 at 11:46 PM Rating: Default
you are right, they arent that good, but i would still prefer them from gatorscale legs as they got
more AC
more WIS
more STR and
more SV Poison.

as the resists of a druid arent that good that sv poison is a nice add. anyway, they got a pretty high WT, but you got your STR buff =)
