Yes this weapon sells to the vendors right in CC's town for 25pp each and everytime. Sure it isnt bad for a noob, but why be hassled for the sell???

Remember a rusty 2h sword is like 8/50 and this thing makes a decent sword for the younger folks although an axe of ironback is a better weapon. Hill Giants in the old world drop fine steel 2h swords which have about the same stats as this but aren't magic.

I bought this from a merchant in East Freeport, Frozen Two Handed Sword. I only have Kunark expansion, the info above says Velious is needed.

"Velious Required" means that you have to have Velious to get the weapon via a drop. If someone gets this sword to drop in Velious and wants to sell it to someone that doesn't have Velious, they can. But the latter person's only avenue of obtaining Velious equipment is just that: buying them from someone who's been over there.
Someone probably sold that blade to a vendor in Freeport not long before you bought it from them, I imagine. That same person could have given the blade to some bat outside the city gates and some lucky newbie could have looted it from that bat if they were to kill it shortly thereafter.

Sells to merchants at indifferent faction for 25 plat. If you realize how much plat one can make off the stuff in the Giants in Frontier Mountains.... these are common spawns. Rixact spawns at the very bottom, on a slight outcropping. It's his little 'Pride Rock' of the Caverns. Smason is a static spawn, can spawn anywhere a Ry'Gorr WATCHMAN can spawn. Not where a miner can spawn. I've hunted here for almost two weeks, and never had him spawn in a miner's spot.
Foremen drop the Frozen Longsword, and Smason and Rixact can do the same. I had Smason a couple times with one velium weapon and one frozen longsword. Horrible, would have died without my cleric, Soot.

this drops off a draknid in queen room he spawns on the left side but i forget his name. killed him 3 times and he had the sword everytime. im not sure if he has a rare drop

The crystalized two handed sword drops off of the drachnid lurker in the queen spawn room, not the frozen two handed sword. I almost assumed they were the same sword myself, but the crystallized two handed sword has better stats.
