Druid are not necessary for raids. . i play on a team with no druids and never had a need for one.

now what is the reason that iksar's can't wear these. i have a shaman iksar an plan to have him on the giant faction and not the coldain. so why can't iksar's wear these items. i'd figure if a halfing druid could why can't an ikky shaman.

Posted: Jun 02 2001 at 11:21 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I'd have to agree on the disadvantages u have to put up with as a druid, no one forced u to play that class, and starting very low levels, u can solo your way to around 52 in dl/td, even above that in velious like ew/wl, and to the person complaining about shamans getting a dd bracer, did u know druids had something called a luminescent staff? Right click lightning strike 187dd, might not be as much as shm bracer dd, but u have the lumi staff, es vambs, and es gaunts all as offensive manafree weapons. I have a druid, I know, a lot of peeps will say snare is useless since it only lasts 5 minutes, well, guess what? Ever thought of the fact that it saves an extra casting slot, and if u time your **** correctly, u can do ok and save a lil mana in the long run... with those 3 weapons, I tried, when kiting a mob like in ew (he's now level 53), the only thing I ever use mana for is roots, with the right click staff, u can actually sit down while casting, and standing back up when it's about to fire, so quit complaining about druids, they're not geared towards absorbing dmg like shamans are with their slow/cripple/dot aggro, so deal with the low ac gear u have, not like it's essential for you.

On a dark elf cleric the boots are bright orange with swirling darker flames. Looks like plate, not leather.

This item seems more like it is quested, maybe the hunter dwarf up in the kings area, or possibly droppped from him? I have hunted the icewell dungeaon area alot, and not seen these. Just curious, anyone have info?

Grab your calculater...multiply 200 dmg times 6...I believe JBB has 9 second casting time. Now multiply 300 dmg (if mobs is rooted and stays rooted and druid doesn't move) by 1 Cause the spell lasts 1 minute. What do you get? I'll tell you what, Shamans get 1800 dmg by the time the dot from ES Amrs wears off. Now tell me that isn't better? Besides...Shamans get better pets, better AC (gear), better mana regen, better HPs, better buffs, and better dots. Druids get....hmm what do druids get...Oh yah druids get "lvl 4 newbie tells you, "Can you gate to Tox and run to Paineel and give me Chloro, SLN, Thorns, STR and Wolf Form please?" and why do we get this annoying tell and several hundered more like them?!?!?! Cause we have been sitting around unanon with LFG on for 2 HOURS, hoping that somebody will pick us up on a Friday night when all of the good raids are hapenening. So before a Shaman ever claims they have it so bad...please think about all a druid trades for the ability to be begged for ports. Had I known verant was going to neglect us in higher levels I'd have not played my druid past 50 and wouldn't have put so much time into my epic. BTW I'm down to 4 things =) good luck to me and others like me who can't ever get a group to kill seahorses! Have a nice day.
Druids get snare, harmony, succor, fear animal, damage shields, share wolf form and track. It's all about tradeoffs, not one being better than the other.

Umm you guys dont follow links do you?
If you read up a bit you will notice if you kill this guy you can get way better boots (coldain skin boots) which are better than GEBs. So wouldnt worry about these boots. These are for the wis hybrids.

These have better AC and they look cooler. As a Cleric I would much rather have these. And they're no drop so you wont be tempted to sell them for 5k like those Coldain Skin ones.

You already can wear gladiator leggings which is AC15 chain leggings and you shouldn't be able to wear that. You guys chose to play the outdoors mobile race so deal with it. You have been condemed to being nuker/back up healer/buffer and you should avoid combat. Get your pair of E-Boots and shut up.

Dont matter what they look like in the little pick, its whether or not they are chain which from the class's listed i would say they are. SOL

It's probably Verian's way of getting back at the fact that druids can kite a lot (lvl 9, i think.) Just my thoughts.
