I'm not sure about anyone else's luck on this drop but here is my experience.
I camped SG on and off for 3 weeks... I killed well over 200 Maidens, Mistresses and Weavers.
I was beginning to think that this did not drop any more so I came here to see if any had dropped recently... I noticed the post stating that they drop off of the Princesses most often... I was like !!!...
Sooo... I go down... FIRST Princess I kill drops the item!!!... Thanks for the information. Dropped for me down the well through the mermaid tunnels... and swam past the 2 lower level ones that con light blue to 65... First Mermaid there was my Golden Princess!!!

Got one 6/21/04 on 7th Hammer. I would say I killed about 15-20 Sea Princesses in the course of a few weeks. Dropped off a Sea Princess under the temple where Mistress Latazura spawns. This seems to be the best place to camp Sea Princesses.
I have gotten a Sea Princess to spawn a little further along in the tunnel heading from the area under Mistress Latazura toward the well that is by the WW zone area. But they really seem to spawn the most directly under ML.

Dropped today, june 6th, so it still does drop.
Heres the key for it though, Sea princesses drop more shawls then anything it would seem, so take a bard and a healer, and just annihilate them, as they are all PH's for princesses, and keep checking your track for them. Took me a total of like 20 hours of farming, finally got it solo though (5200hp unbuffed, and defensive AA maxed, and it was a tough solo)
Also, killing the mistresses deeper in seem to get more princess spawns.

Don't waste ur time on mistresses unless u can keep all maiden's down because the princess only spawn from maiden PHes the mistresses spawn weavers as rare.

I have heard that this no longer drops...can anyone else besides, Delore, confirm the drop of this shawl in the past 2 months? I would love to get one of these for my bard, but don't want to spend hours camping for something that isn't there.

I finally got this yesterday for my bard. Spent 2 whole saturdays 8-10 hours each day before it finally dropped from a sea princess. She was my second princess spawn that day she didn't spawn much. The Saturday before she had spawned about 5 times.
Also it's not clicky from inventory I tried it has to be equiped.

Dropped on Brell 2/3/2004 off a Neriad Sea Princess. We were farming Fellspine, and a group past us had it drop. Friend logged in bard on other computer, and finally got his Neriad Shawl.

The Shawl dropped for me yesterday afternoon off a Neriad Sea Princess.
How many sea princesses did you go through before getting this to drop pls?
Heard from a bard on my server that he also got this from the sea princess, so possibly its the only one that drops it anymore? Not sure but I've nearly cleared the zone of neriad maidens/mistresses and had no luck

Is this still dropping after the SG revamp?
Been camping the crap out of it, probably 100 maidens kills, 20 mistress kills, 5 or 6 sea princess kills, and no luck yet. Will update post if I find it. GOing to keep trying since it was well known as rare before patch revamp even...

Shawl dropped for me after my group (60 monk, 60 rogue, 60 druid, 59 chanter, 56 wizard and 55 cleric) were done with the sirens. Pretty good exp in 59 if you ask me.
My friend decided to give the mermaids a shot and so we headed that way. It dropped off a Neriad Maiden on our 2nd pull so I guess I'm lucky since, and I quote, "the shawl is a very rare drop". Luck I guess. Not disputing that.
So just so others know it, not only mistresses drop the shawl as I have previously read.

A neriad mistress dropped this neriad shawl last night for us. We've killed several mistresses in the last couple trips without a drop so I'd say this is definitely a rare drop item. Needless to say, our enchanter was very excited to equip it.
Been hunting here alot the past 2 weeks and haven't seen any neriad Mistress but I have seen several Neriad Maidens. So far none have dropped this yet. They are the easiest mob in SG so far I have come across.

I have a level 40 bard who would love to get his greedy, twinkie-*** hands on one of these. Is it possible to hang out at the entrance to the grotto waiting for some group without an ench or bard to get this thing to drop - thereby allowing me the opportunity to lewt it? And if so, do we have any info on the level proc? Not that it really matters - it has 25 cha for crying out loud.
That's a bit like saying "Oh yeah, I'll just hang out in Kedge and wait for that totally overhunted zone to just bring Phinny right up and loot the robe of the kedge that I'm sure none of the casters want"
This is probably the most emtpy zone in Velious perpetually, on a pretty minimally populated continent as is. The only people in this zone are folks passing through, very rarely do you have folks hunting here.

that happened to my lvl 25 magicain, but forgot to click waterstone and drowned before the corpse was lootable and didn't get back to the corpse before it rotted, its posable tho if your not stupid like me

Stop bickering and this is for real exactly as the picture says above. Also its not as hard as everyone says. You CAN get this with 1 group, lvl 55+. Zoning in from CS kill the first 3 mobs. Drop in the water. Pull the immediate surrounding seahorses to there. Then pull from the immediate left there is a tunnel going down and left and left again. Find a map and you'll see what I mean. Continue pulling from that way. After killing about 7-8 sea horses you will come to a spawn point that spawns either a Neriad Mermaid or a Siren Enticer. Its random off the neriad mermaids. Just keep killing the cycle of 10+ sea horses then the ph spawn point and you'll get it.
