Just my opinion :
It would be the first time in EQ if the effect of a spell would be different from one item to one other (i don t speak about proc or permanent);
i speak about the ratio of haste.
So why the ratio of haste of the 2h mith sword should be higher of the haste ratio of the exe axe or lower of haste ratio of the cloak of flames
ect...
Can someone do the test of haste with differents items.
I ask this because i don t have those items.

I have one of these and my understanding of the delay is as follows:
20% total haste. Each level you gain a bit of that haste over 20. I.E.
At 25th level you would get a 10% haste so it would end up being a 21 dmg 36 dly weapon.
At 30th level you would get a 20% haste so it would end up being a 21 dmg 32 dly weapon.
Keep in mind for each level between 21 and 30 you get 10% of the total haste added to the weapon.

dude-24!!you should have stopped using the mith at like 14-i stopped at level 16 which was QUITE a stretch-so if i were you id go straight to the Thunder Runed Greatsword-it has much more viable stats to a 24 and you will LOVE its proc!
now that im 30 i went and got myself a jagged blade of war and can solo Vox-dude im telling you this sword is rusty compared to the weapons you should be using..........
just kidding-you dork-that sword will last you for alot longer than you prolly have the patience to stick around for-the others are right....quit whining twinker.

Firstly, he was kidding, he was making fun of the fact that he was asking what he should get better than this when he's only lvl 24...
Secondly... people have been able to loot items for their twinks off of higher level mobs. Personally did it with a NO DROP dagger off a lvl 35+ mob with my lvl 22 bard... *shrug*

/answer for guy looking for advice = nothing for a few levels. Right around level 40-45 you should be able to start questing for some neat stuff or even killing some pretty sweet mobs yourself.

Effect is up to 31% and 40 is the delay on the weapon without the haste effect. Effect does not kick in until 27? i think. Least it didnt for my pally friend.

Which would be better, the mith 2h or a worn crescent axe. I know the 24/40 is better but i'm not sure what the mith 2h's stats would be w/ the haste. If it's 15% would that mean it's a 21/36? So the Mith 2h would be better. Thx for the help, confused a bit.
haste i more than 15%, this weps like 28-33/21, WAY better than the cresetnt axe, only thing that would influence me at all to have gotten the axe instead of the mith 2h, which i have, would be is the cresenct axe only costed 3-400pp, if the axe costs over 500pp, its a total waste of verants time to make this item, cuz its nothin in comparison to the mith 2h

I mean come on people... I'm a 32 pally, I hit for 69, regularly double hit for 100+, I am welcomed back by all who've fought with me because this sword rocks! (plus I read all the scrolling text - that might help a little). I don't care if the soulfire looks better - it just can't compete with the damage from this sword!

Verant, i wish you would figure it out and make this look a little different than a say, rusty 2 handed sword? i love my mith 2 hander dearly but i mean face it, a velium 2 hander looks cooler, you need to go back and revamp the looks of a lot of weapons boys.. that is my opinion

Is it 21 DMG / 40 DLY, and then the Haste speeds you even more?

That's before haste. With Perm Haste Effect (between 25-30percent faster, depending on who u talk to) it is really a 21/34-35dly (or there abouts). Great Sword, crappy grafx.

Actually, 25% of 40 is 10, and 30% of 40 is 12, so the final stats are 21 DMG 28 to 30 DEL

For such a stunning weapon (permanent Haste drastically reduces the delay, making it well undervalued considering the damage, in my opinion), why does it look exactly the same as a Rusty 2H sword???!

Folks remember a little bit here...the graphics look similar because this sword was around almost since the beginning of the game (cannot confirm this since I only started in July99). It definitly isn't going to look as nice as a Ceremonial Sword or anything better/equivalent. Verant wont take the time to revamp the graphics on a sword that has kicked a$$ since the start and continues to be one of the best swords in game.
It may look boring, but I still say ye can have all my gear, just let me keep my Mith 2hr =)

I currently own one of these fine swords and my estimation of its haste to be about 15%. Too bad this won't stack with the FBSS, but still rather fast on it's own.
