Dropped off a hunter for me, near the safe tree in the northeast side of the zone.
Buddy and I farmed these for hours in the South end of the zone. Oops! They dont drop there at all! We ran up to the NE area of the zone where the Warriors and Hunters are and they finally dropped. Got 5 in less than a half hour, all dropped off the Warriors, none from the hunters.

Do these even drop anymore? I've killed like 50 ulthorks and not seen a single one.

They do, one just dropped for us today. Problem is they seem to be rare now rather than common.

I solo'd in EW from 27 to 34, and i picked up around 20 tusks or so. Lots of money to be made with them if you keep turning them in.

My log shows I have killed 100 hunters, 47 warriors and 5 man of war and collected 12 tusks
Log? did you hand-make this log, or is this a feature of EQ that i don't know about?

Its an EQ feature
Type /log on in game
and it will start... /log off ... well you guess ;)
The test will then be collected in a File in your EQ folder - I belive it written in Notepad (not 100% sure) so all can open it

Im not 100% sure thats what he is talking about, allthough that works too. Every character now has a Journal, or at least im sure the characters with Yakeesha do. It automatically logs important events and so on. I believe each thing you kill as well. and so on.

There are log parserr programs that you can download. when you type <log on> while in game, all the text messages are saved to a file. Using a log parser, you can examine the results. differant programs track differant things, for example, i ghave one that tracks fishing and foraging. It helps searching for people, places or things.
I've seen many people hunting all the Ulthorks do get a hold of these. 50+ lvl druids quad kiting Ulthorks in order to get some tusks. I sold the first couple I got, but now I'm collecting them myself, as this quest intrigues me. They are a rare drop, but I have noticed that they drop a little bit more often off of the Warriors rahter than the hunters. I got about 8 tusks in several hours of Ulthork hunting.

Tusk quest is givin but the othmir chief in Cobalt Scar. Simply take 4 ulthork tusks and give them to him for return of exp faction and a misc gem which can be anything from merchant fodder to the expensive Blue Diamond.

The Ulthork Tusks as far as I've seen also drop in the Eastern Wastes
