hhmm, isn't the Tanks job to mitigate damage? If so, the higher AC, the better the mitigation.

If you're talking about DPS, yes, the Ogre will do slightly better due to not getting stunned.

But when you're talking about all/warrior armor at the end game, Iksar are always gonna mitigate a little better due to the extra 65 or so AC they'll have (in the same gear).

you forgot, Champion = berserker, & Champions, & Berserker > Myrimidon, bbut also there are umm a hheck of a lot more bracers,armor than just these few

Make it easier... No need for indo if you can get Berz and champs just as easily! Indo is good however in the patchwork of MANY armor types stage though

Bronze < Crafted < Patchwork quilt of many armors < Berz/champs armor < Myrm/Warlord < NToV+All other UBER! mob encounters

Pallies, SKs, Rangers are HYBRIDS that means they get a little casting, a little tanking, not the master of both. If you want to take more dmg, be a warrior, if you want to cast more spells, be a pure caster, don't complain. AC on warrior only items are higher because it was intended for the WARRIOR to tank, not some hybrid crybaby.

I read these here posts on the war bp from PoG. All i hear: (cry) (cry) warriors get more ac than my class (cry) (cry) they have tons of ac (cry) (cry). Ok sk and pallys have valid point. they are tanks and cant stand up to a war in the tank department. All u casters are not allowed to whine about the ac on tanks. When in a group and a mob comes tearing after u who saves u and taunts the mob? who is the meat shield who lets u get them spells off? warriors are meat shields. we take all the damage u cant take. u have a vital role in the group and we all know that. A warriors role is to take it on the chin. And some nice armor makes us last a little longer, maybe just long enough for u to get that last spell off. So dont whine and moan that warriors get too much ac. Cheer and rejoice because now the warriors u group with will be able to last longer, save the cleric some mana, and keep u alive longer. If u have ever grouped with a good warrior give respect where respect is do and let us have our cool looking, high ac armor.

I thought Verant was intentionally shying away from making ONE type of armor the end-all-be-all? If every warrior in the game establishes that crafted -- > planar --> kunark --> velious is the absolute armor path, then everyone will vie for Velious armor right off the bat. I guess I can only be thankful that Berserker's is NO-DROP. It'd **** me off to no end to see some level 8 twink warrior in a full suit of this stuff. AC 19 on a bracer for God's sake, that's higher than druid's BREASTPLATE from Trakanon.

well since Velious mobs hit so damn hard and the vision is that only warriors can tank I guess its a good thing the warriors get such insane AC

now my question is this: SINCE Iksar can wear the Velious plate, does that mean an Iksar War will take over as the ultimate tank? Natual Regen, and in Full Velious equip unbuffed AC of a good 1300-1400??
MAN i'm loving my ranger right now.. in that kinda love/hate hit the delete button way

yes its true the iksar warrior will be the most dominate race of the warrior... only in power not in gaining lvls faster =P

I believe he was making a point and i think he is right, no bracer should have a higher AC then a class breastplate from Trakanon, yah druid's arn't made for AC but still that is a bit rediculous. And everything else he said is true too, i'm a mage and every piece of mage armor i've seen or gotten so far has been inferior to hate armor, every single one. While warrior armor is better then both hate and kunark in almost every aspect, and they even look really nice when ya have them all on. The point is a valid one, either the other classes need their growth armor upped in stats to make them better then kunark/hate/fear, or warrior growth armor needs to be nerfed.

I think the cobalt bracer is 20ac, so there is a compromise to be made (admittedly a slight one).
