I have found it is harder to raise CHA then INT. Granted you could use 2 opal steins, but there is alot better things you could have in those 2 slots. I have a human enchanter and I got 217 int and 123 CHA.
personally i like the transient sleeves i have on right now. 9ac 10str 10dex 7cha 15hp 15man. higher ac, str/dex is just somethin nice to have, more cha (int is easier to raise anyways) and a little more hp in exchange for more mana.
int is easier to raise than cha?? i find that hard to believe. you can raise cha 50 pts by using two opal encrusted steins and at lvl 49 you get a 40 pt cha buff, thats 90 cha with 3 things. Only item ive seen with 25 int on it is dropped by some lvl 60 mob in Katta.
But at what price are you raising your CHA ... Over all INT is easier to raise CHA without haveing to sacrafice to much on the other stats. Like you said... two steins .. but the steins have no other stats attached to them.
even with the -3 int mod (I mean common who cant keep int at 200?) scale arms are 11 ac and 20 hp. getting 200 cha shouldnt be hard with a +50 cha buff. and GZ posted 200 is a softcap for CHA (if your one of the people who actually keeps it up, but lets not start that hehe) so you only need at most +50 cha in items, epic takes a huge chunk out of that, so does halo.
so to recap, 11ac 20hp is better than these stats if you have halfways decent armor to start with. simply because they have huge ac and nice +hp on them.
Transient's may lack the Int, but the +mana makes up for at least some of that. Higher AC, some Cha, and extra HPs make me find the Transient arms much more desirable.
Ummmm...excuse me? Giant scalemail sleeves in favor of this? You're kidding, right?? I am level 52, my intelligence is at 188 and charisma is at 155. With all my buffs, I can get them up to 192, 195 (about...). Its not great, but respectable. No self-respecting enchanter would even think of equipping giant scalemail sleeves. 11 ac and 20 hp, and -3 int is NO reason to trade in some 5 ac, 4 cha, 5 int, 10 hp, and 20 mana sleeves. Besides, whats the argument behind the switch? Is it so we can take a few more hits?? Usually, if us enchanters are being pummeled, we're going to bite the dust regardless if we have that extra 10 hp and 5 ac. . .now Im not saying that extra ac and hp isnt a bad thing, Im just saying that pretty much anyone would take these in favor of giant scailmale armor...'cept maybe a dumb ogre =P
