Anyone have an idea of how the graphic changed from Luclin? I know now velious graphics look like old world, but didn't know if there was any tinting to this stuff or does it just look like plain old silver plate now?
Any chance any of you wonderful people out there just happen to have a screenshot of what this stuff looks like on a Barbarian Warrior? If so, please could you E-mail a link or a piccy or something on Parmenian@Guardiansoflegend.com. Thanks!!

dont know about all of it, but i just got the boots and bracer, gloves, arms all dropped off of a battle w/ 3+ Spirit Flux Wolves, dont know if those are the doggies that drop the bp. From the times that ive gone up there, they REALLY have slowed down all the drops, mega style!
The casting time is not 7 seconds as someone posted, like all the bps that drop from PoG that have this efft its like 20 second casting time, Cobalt is alot faster not sure exactly though. Either way I would take this over Coblat because A) great sts and huge + RESISTS , 50+ you need all the resistance you can get. B) A tad bit lighter C) Easier to get(not saying it is easy just easier IMO) being that Trak gets whacked every time he pops and doesnt always drop the Cobalt BP and if your guild isnt on the rotation your chances of getting a Cobalt BP are pretty slim to none D)Has 2 more AC and as we all know AC is GOD E) Casting time really isnt important because you have to be atleast 50+ to get this bp and you will cleric that can heal you alot better, and also 100hp heal isnt much when you have 3khps, altough it can come in handy when there is down time and the clerics are medding. Thats all I have to say about this bp

Do you guys think that dwarves would look cool in this? I just wanna know. I'm just thinking on what kinda armor I will have when I'm at least lvl 55. Heh still ot a lot more lvls to go.=)
This armor actually kinda resembles Indicolite crossed with say... Thorny Vine.. That is the best way I can describe it. The guants look just like Indicolite, with a little bit more bright.. The Animation is different for different races (I think), I KNOW for a fact that it is so with StoneWood Mail.... As for what drops it =p, that is our little secret. It took quite a few deaths, and some research to finally get down what drops this. Loot there is screwy if you hadn't noticed, and maybe because I am in a good mood I will give you a little hint "It's not WHAT drops it"..
I've been told that the effect is a 100hp heal that takes I think 7 seconds to cast...pretty damn nice...pretty damn nice? what am I smoking...sweet as hell...one day in the FAR FAR future, my warrior might get one
sorry friend but in a melee confrontation the 100 pt heal dont mean jack specially with 7 sec cast time... if youre being beaten on while trying to cast it will be interrupted and it also takes away 7 seconds of melee that you could have been doing... the 100 pt's is nothing when a mob is hitting for 200... its not even good when theyre hitting for 90 with the time it takes to cast... only good use is when in downtime and clerics are medding
Took a faction hit against all 4 factions listed for the beast that drops this. Anything I killed in PoG gave me a minus faction hit. As a barbarian warrior of Rallos Zek, I came into the zone KOS and within 5 kills I was max hated by Tunare (with the exception of the servers of Tunare). With in 45 mins I was maxed hated in all 4 factions.
I would assume you would get a faction hit with the quest givers of pog if you kill stuff in pog. So if you want to do any pog quests, don't kill anything :) As for the looks of this bp, I thought it was silver?
dude are you high? rangers have had it all since the beginning. they get the best fo all skills and spells. they can wear the best armor they can use the best weapons. rangers were the favored class by verant when the game came out if they are losing a little of their unreal edge now SO WHAT!!!! my goodness whiners know ni bounds=(

That's true, but you also gain 14 of that back in STR... so in reality, it only weighs 3.5 stones. Not bad, no matter what race you are, in my opinion.

With the STR+14 that you get from this item, the additional weight of wearing this breastplate would only be 3.5 stone (17.5 - STR+14). A weight of 3.5 for a warrior tunic is excellent IMHO.

actually... i beat the crap outta a lvl 54 ogre war in full berserkers and im only wearin RVF at lvl 49, he had duel lammys i have RBSON and Bloodfire.... wasnt that hard i ownd him thx la~
if anyone has any of the newer POG armor screenshots of apperence especiallay on a ogre , please email some to me at Slackoff@home.com i will not put your character names out if you like but want to get a POG info page started , so please shoot me a email with tactics drops screenshots etc , Credit will of course be placed. ;) thanks.
It's NO DROP, meaning it canNOT be bought! The only way you're gonna be able to buy it is if you offer someone in the party that killed the creature it drops from about 25K in platinum for looting rights, and even then, they'll probably laugh at you. So please READ the item description BEFORE you start posting, okay?

It completly disavowes ALL of the rumors about eq staff favoring paladins... just take a look at this thing take a loot...er...emm...look! It is a marvel to behold
I agree that warriors get things a lot easier than paladins. I am a warrior too. Just look at the difficulty of making your own crafted armor -vrs- making your own paladin quest armor. How many times you got to kill a sand giant to make the crafted pieces?
Another thing I found out the hard way, is that Iksar warriors cannot wear any plate armors. This includes the desired Cobalt plate except for a few of the odd pieces like bracers and such.

Druids are getting screwed left and right, they are getting screwed in pretty much everyway. They are probably the least group friendly class in the game. The only thing they can do worth a **** is Solo-Kite...
That is a rediculous statement. I group in DL all the time and generally the only healer we have in a group is a Druid. Plus with a druid everyone has sow, Skin like Nature/Diamond, Regen, Wolf Form as long as Dragon isn't out. IF you are getting screwed as a druid, you just don't know how to play one. I don't think ANY particular class gets screwed. That is until after 50th level, then the entire purpose of a Necro goes from Masters of Undead....to Living Coppertop. If you disagree with that..then you do nothing but listen to the hype about Necromancers being so UBER POWERED, and have probably never played one.
ok Anonymous, I play a necro of the 55th level, I GROUP a lot, in fact I haven't soloed since leve 50 in Timourous Deep. I don't really appreciate listening to you talk about Necros being coppertops post 50. I group ALL the time in Sebilis, and you know what? I see druids come and go sitting at zone in for hours while LFG. I feel bad for em.. but it makes me laugh.. I am sorry but in the post 50's a druid will not suffice as a healer. And really all they are good for in seb is to snare... If you ask me, besides the enchanter, necros are probably the most useful INT caster for dungeon groups. We have pets, snares, a 52 spell that cancels a mobs hp regen plus does 1200 dot, we can pump others with mana, we have a capable Mezzing spell (in case things get REAL hairy, use Screaming Terror to help out the chanter,) we can heal others, and most of the necros are good pet controllers. Now let me tell you, one time in Sebilis, I went to the guard group, and guess what, we had no enchanter and no cleric, just 2 necros to do both the clerics and chanters work. Granted guard camp isn't much for needing a chanter, but still. We pulled it off nicely and mana was still good for us and the healths were great too, we had no deaths for the odd amount of hours we were there. So, my point is, if you play a necro and think that they arent useful, then you are obvouisly playing the necro like a mage...
I'll agree, druids are pretty good groupers actually. Their buffs span a good distance and bredth of fields, from resists to cure, heals to dam shields, nukes, snares, SoW or better, Wolf Form (An attack buff), some debuffs, DoT's... Hell, druids fairly rock actually. If you're in a tight spot, good Druids and Enchanters are valuable, take my word for it. Grouped with one for the best part of 40 levels, and there has not been a stage of progress where he hasn't been useful-capable.
Rangers get it hardest from my watching (Note, this is not any experiance in the post 45 game), they're a meleer that doesn't out-damage monks or rogues, and doesn't take damage near as good as the Pallys or SK's (Let alone warriors).

Posted:May 11 2001 at 7:37 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) OMG you all make me sick lemme give you all the low down on the melee types, most *****'d IS the warrior.Paladins seem to always have the best armor (Though hard to get)SK's weapons are the most massive in all of eq.And rangers are such group friendly tanks its impecable.Warriors however do get the long end of the stick in terms of over all hp.Now,. . Only the strongest of Paladins die.Only because they are not selfish. What i mean is if a paladin gets low on health, simply stun root heal.and if it gets really bad hey why not LoH and run.And when i mean strong they would LoH or stun/heal others. And SK With those pretty weapons they sure do a lot of dmg with, not to mention a pet helping slightly, throw in these decrepifying spells to weak enimies while making the SK stronger. On to the Ranger, who can not only increase his stats and health, but has the ability to nuke and DoT enimies adding to his over all ability to win a fight, not to mention has all the great melee skills that Paladins and SK's lack. Then lets even speak about the Bard. With Ac/Hp lacking, their songs allow them to change a foe into an allie, speed himself and his whole group up,or adds stats/hp or even increase the mana recovery rate, what a party member indeed! Now how about a Warrior.Well lets see,Hp/Ac above the rest. But since every other melee class has a way of increasing their hp/ac and stats,it doesnt matter because they are all similar. Now warriors get crits which is great!,but its kinda funny to have a 25 dmg weapon and crit for (58) most of the time isnt it.Though Warriors are the guys who always stay and taunt enimies so his group can flee,or keeping an enimie on him with the best taunts so casters are never aggro'ed upon.So someone needs to tell me how getting a critical hit maybe 3-4 times in a fight usually for less dmg then you could do on a normal hit is balancing the melee class of Eq???
here! here! i think VI feels they did exactly what they set out to do with warriors... make them useless if they are on their own, and keep em that way. at level 48, with an fbss, a ssoy and stormfeather talons, i still have to run from green mobs - yes a high green will take me out - maybe its lack of ac or something, but i dont think a ranger, druid, bard or sk would have to turn and flee a green. i think maybe in their infinate wisdom, by way of "balancing" things out for the other melee classes, VI has overbalanced things. i was pretty upset when i read the patch that gave the rest the same caps we had, and still havent even given us the ability to bind past 50%. whatever tho, i love being the one that has to stay and die, so that everyone else can live. i love being the one that says - hey! im the one ya want! so the cleric can get his heal off. thats what warriors are for.
