I like the DS on this weapon, but I'm looking for something wearable my monk can use. I'm having trouble looking up items that proc damage shields in the equipment search, can anyone help me out?

my 22 SK buddy had this thing procing like hell, since this thing is a crappy ratio he was doing almost as much damage with the effect as with the sword...

this sword rock people i am a 23 pally and with this sword and my BABS i can solo forest giant
heres how i do it set up your hot key 1 a inventor slot othe mele wep start out with 2hps once it prodeuse switch weps and go to town after the thisels where off switch back

Don't you think that a practice two hander would have like a 10 delay with a .5 dmg? that way, you'll swing alot more and there for raise your 2hs faster, aka practicing your 2hs.. -shrugs- just a question...

From a RP perspective, though, you practice using a large sword by swinging a heaveier version, so that you develop the muscles to handle one of a normal weight more effectively.

At 35 it gives a bonus of 7 to my warrior. Don't use it much, though. Most 2hs i use BABS and dual Wakizashis of the Frozen Skies.... sweet DD

this is a ok weap but if ya r gona buy one why not save up a bit more and get yer self a nice sword of xalgoz..cuase lets face it by lvl 20 6 dmg to a 22 monster aint much 8(

I dont know about you but I am a lvl 40 Paladin and I like to use this sword once in a great while and I can nail a mob for around an average of 67 damage per hit and sometimes double that with a double connect. Once in a great while I can pull of an 80 damage or so. I like the sword but now I need something that does well into the 100s for damage.

hi 3 days ago my brother got this weapon 3 times
from the goo and he also got the tower guard blade,
bo stick and lucky SOB got a fighting baton <sniff>
less then 2 hours!!!
note> fighting baton takes 3 hours or more!

probly not really very important but druids get this spell at lvl9 not 22, so the proc is really only good for soloing

Ever seen a druid that can use a 2HS weapon?
Rangers get the spell at 30, I think, so this would save them mana and the interruptions during a fight to recast when it drops.

Disagree. This would be useful because shield of thistles is very short lived. Use this to refresh rather than casting it, and you can save a good deal of downtime.

My palladin uses this for his 2hd slash and a ghoulbane for his 1hs. He can solo quite easily with this. This is a GREAT sword for you tiwnks!

I'm 23 and trying to (TRYING is the key word) for some more Fine Plate/Ry'Gorr armor, but bought this from a friend for 100pp. I don't use 2HS that much only to max it out for my lvl's (so I can use my epics) and stick to my Ghoulbane, which I quested for (pretty easy, took me bout 3 hours to do, walk in ask for the loot and walk out, which is better than spending 600-1000pp for)

So, this is a nice sword, i like it just wish it was a teeny bit faster though

You can use this weapon at any level and it works well on any magic MOB. The Shield started to proc at 22 for my Level 22 Pally for 6 dmg points. Great weapon - just slow.

You need to be level 22 to use the damage shield.

It is a damage shield for 6. Rangers get it at 30, and Druids get it at 22 (I think)
