Absolutely sucks. Level 2 is worthless to any necromancer above lvl 49. DN, I think, is good for mid 50s and above, not saying that lower cannot go. But you don't see a lot of lvl 40-44 characters sitting at zone shouting to loot stuff.
N/nod. As a 63 Ranger, I find these to be excellent equipment. On raids, the saves are great. On raids, the dex is perfect. Its been quite a few levels since I could go toe to toe with any worthwhile mob. With the PoP mobs hitting for 300+ and often 800, if the tank goes down, then another 5 or 10 AC will not help me much. What's 3 melee rounds going to do? I can get more time for the gaters by simply snaring and dragging the beast to, well, to my death, I suppose. But the added dex has a real impact on bow crits and melee procs. Since a Ranger uses self buff weapon procs, this is always important. If you're a Ranger and your guild can do DN, go with them there. You'll likely be one of the only ones to roll on a fairly common drop.
While enhancement haste might not seem too important at first given that most buffing is done during down times, one notable benefit from this focus effect is quicker casting of HP/AC buffs. Speaking as a paladin, some of my HP/AC buffs such as Valor are more mana-efficient for healing than my actual healing spells. Having a quicker cast time would be nice during the root-and-heal situations. Even without the focus effect, they are nice gloves in general.
Guild (Clan of One) on BB hit DN the other night, these gloves dropped off of "A Chetari Master".
I'm a bard (48 atm) and these are excellent. 4 less ac than my SS Gaunts, but...I'm not a tank =P Bards and Rogues are one step up from Rangers. Don't want to put me in front of an "ENRAGED" or "Flurry" mob, so this is actually a well needed upgrade. All that Dex, all those saves...will help me when I get to Tag along in the ToV raids. Also the dex will help my Smphonic Sabre go off more, I realize there are better weapons but the Aggro reducing proc on it will help me "Not Die" as much as would happen w/o it =)

Same time as you learn to spell. As for bards being 1 step up from rangers? ROFL To bad were not on the same server I would welcome you to show me how much better sissy bards are then Rangers. I mean 71 post and you still dont know CORPSE is spelled wrong? /boggle
looking at the weight i would hazard a guess that iksar monks would love em...hard to get iksar monks decent gear without wasting weeks of play doing faction.
hey I don't have mine :( but I'm getting closer.. close enough that I didn't want to take these gloves.. but no one else in the group was going to use them so now I have a pair.. till I replace them with my epic in another month or two ;) was really hoping for the legs to drop.. whenever I'm playing my monk they never do, blah!
Not a flame, however a question in general. I have not played a monk. My question is do you have to have the gloves equiped in order to sing with them? I know that most epics have to be equiped... however can you use the monk gloves from your invetory?
The ac on these suck lol... are you kidding me? Its only 12. The resists are sweet tho and so is the dexterity. But not good for tanking. I am a warrior. I wouldnt use these except on dragon raids etc where you need all the resists you can get.
Like what was said before, these are bard/rogue gloves. We aren't meant to take the hits, we're meant to dish out the damage. In a bards case, this will help us with missed notes, and more proc's....indeed a nice item for bard.
Necros can use these because the mobs that these gloves drop from are necros, etc. If they can wear them so can other necs. The Chetari are the evil race of rats that have gained power from eating the dead flesh of dragons. Paebala are the race of not so evil rats that are opposed to the Chetari. So the Chetari turn them into fashionware.
These are basically an update to the flayed skin armor set from kunark (human and erudite necro only). The pieces of that set all had high ac and decent melee type stats, but very little in the way of intelligence bonuses. Helps a lot to have high ac as a necro. 200 int doesn't help much if you get beat down before you can use even half your mana.
OK, lvl 50 necromancer of lanys tval. current INT=224 or a little higher, and in hands, I am using gem inlaid gaunts, ac 8 agi dex 3. not the greatest of gaunts, but guess what, I dont really need better, unless its these, i havent scoured these loot pages trying to find a decent set of gloves, but these thigns would rock for me, high dex? well, i believe it helps the channeling and wutnot when getting hit. I have personally lost all dex items and tried to cast when getting hit a couple times, then i get a dex buff and find some dex gear, and everythign seems much harder to interupt. just my 2cp.

Know any other gloves with + 5 to all resist that casters can use? Some very high AC (for caster gloves..) not bad either.. and i am pretty sure some necros still have well over 200 int even when puting their resist gear and remooving their gloves. I would undoubtedly remove my impskin gloves, or even apothic gloves if i had them, for these. Too bad it's nt wearable by mages.
Can you kindly give us a link to where you heard that Dex affects casting?
I always thought that's why casters had a channeling skill personally.
And this is taken directly from Castersrealm:
"Dexterity: Dexterity affects how quickly you learn weapon skills, and how often weapons will do their special. This really only has any relevance to Necromancers at lower levels when they are forced to melee. You should not put points into this skill at creation."

SH*T! These gloves are EXCELENT for rogues! Tons 'o Dex, and nice resists so quite versatile for everyday use, and all dragon raids! -Sylik Shadowsoul, 51 Rake of Mith Marr Officer of Tanstaafl
