It took me 17 attempts (and 3 deaths) to pickpocket Tani. On the 16th my pp skill went to 200. I came back 72 minutes after and gabbed his note in a flash. Finally.
Too many people have posted that they pulled it off with a skill much lower than 200, but for me it only worked at 200.

My pickpocket is still only 192 and I managed to get the document off Tani N'Mar.
It took a fair few attempts and although I didn't die the poor little puller did a few times. Poor chap doesn't know he's getting deleted now his job is over. I don't know how to tell him.
On most attempts Tani went dry before I got aggro. Once all the coin had gone I had 10 more tries before deciding that this spawn didn't have it.

For anyone with a few questions, I just completed quest in two days, with a halfling rogue MAX KoS to Stanos.

(using sneak)
3. skipping ahead.. rest above is easy, I two boxed renux with my 65 shammy and rogue, 65 shammy coulda solo'd renux but I wanted to have fun. shammy just tanked her using torpor to heal, wasn't a bad fight at all, "slighty" tougher than I expected though.
4. Turn in.. same as number 2.. worked fine.
5. General. I brought 2 groups consisting of: 4 box 65 war (MT) 63 enc, 62 cler, 62 mage, two box (me) 65 shammy 64 SK/51 rogue (switched between the two), 65 wiz (joined us for fun ;P) 65 bard (same) 62 cler, 63 war, 51 shammy
64 SK pulling w/ 63 enc doing a few pacifies. SK could solo pull w/o pacify or FD the low, green skeletons and kill them, then simply invis to get close and give the enc targets for pacify, worked like a charm.
6. Left Brig up, rogue spawned from behind at night, 65 war pulled general, used furious cause he wanted to :P and we promply slaughtered him using fast heals on the MT.
(note we probably could have done this with one group but I wanted to be safe ;-) )
7. Final Turn in, no problem using same method in number 2...
Still max KoS and have Ragebringer on 51 rogue, hope this helps someone
Edit: I left a lot of the easy things, out, but forgot to mention that I also MQ'd the Robe of the Kedge as well, so the MQ still does work as of 9/28/03

ok killed general but he didnt drop quill for me so i started collectin ghte robes, i got all but the kedge robe. ive done phinnny a few times, but he didnt drop it, i want to do de's but noones willing to do them, they are if we are doing phinny cuz of other drops. :/ any suggestions?

A poster at the Safehouse said he had to kill Phinny 17 times before he dropped the robe. Also, the DE Coercer will have the robe pattern if she has one for loot. She'll be green if she has the Kedge robe or blue if she has the Ishva robe. Sneak up there and see if she has one.

I killed the DE in Kith with the help of a 65 bard, and a 62 druid...I was level 57 at the time and was very easy for us...bard just lulled all of them and pulled the DE enchanter, bard had Virtue and tanked her while I beat on her and druid did some small heals...very easy fight.

Kedge Keep is fun. I've made 2 trips down there so far. Its a unique place to hunt. I am enjoying the change of pace. Still no robe drop but my other guildmates who need drops from Phinny haven't gotten theirs either.

Or kill the DEs in Kith. The robe of kedge can be dropped off of one of them as well.
Deal with it I guess. Take the help you can get and head back to Kedge.

Heyo, PoH was cool/scarey doing it solo and after the redesign (i was being directed by someone that knew the new location for the BoS location). anyways, right at the port ZoIn to PoH theres those 4 mobs, Tom, **** and Harry, oh an at least one of those damned Scorn Banshees. Went thur it all like a tourist, after a few changes of draws and got my BoS.
So a month later, all pround of myself, Innoruuks' Blade in my OWN hand, when a fellow brother rogue that wants to do PoH for his asked my help. "No prob!" i responded, and after about 10 minutes we got our wizzy and off we went, naked. Wizzy disbands, ports out, we H'nS faster than that begger at the bank picking up that Pile of Stinking Refuse, no prob. /who all....no one. true solo, or duo as fate would have it. cept i brought my Shiny Brass Idol this time, not really wanting to die if i didnt have to.
feeling pretty invulnerable at this point, i tell the fellow rogue to follow me up and down that stairway with Tom, ****, and two Banshees.
WACK!! WACK!!, i hear and "NOoo!!...", ok now im all alone in PoH again. I turn around to see what happened and i see the poor rogues corpse at the base of the stairway on the other side from the ZoI point, closer to me since i had passed the Scorn Banshees and proceeded to the left and around that first bldg. without a problem. He was discovered and dispatched in under 2-3 seconds.
Darn it !! im thinkin'...
didnt want this to happen but it was a chance he was willing to take after i told him to worry basically only about the Aborrants and Scorn Banshees, since they have a chance to see thru our H'nS abilities.
Problem is, when i went to go /con the same Banshees, they were all KoS!! How did i live and he die ?? I'm still baffled about this.
Not to worry...i soon joined him in Death :/
A loathing Lich or something, looking like my Ex-gf, must have recognized me and violated me in ways i will never speak of.....basically cause that was a 1500hp Lifetap just b4 i clicked my Idol effect too late, then i sat there rooted watching a cleric of hate do a little tapdance on my head with his best DD spell no doubt.....LOADING PLEASE WAIT...funny thing is, i clicked my idol right after i heard the spell being cast, or so i thought, and had to sit there for 18 seconds of invulnerablilty to wear off b4 they finished the job :P

ropped general with 6 pple 4 were 65+ nice and easy>) now for the robe turn in
sorry lol not to be prick or anything but how can u be 65+ lol... ( we don't have an expansion out that allows us to go over the 65 max...)
As always, it depends on level. A solid group of 65s could probably take him nowadays. A decent raid of 18 (with 3 clerics) could probably do him in their high 50s... I'm not sure, it's been a while, but when I got my epic 22 of us did it pre-PoP without much trouble, average level in the mid-high 50s.

very true- but a reser with clicky would be good bc most often or not ull die when spawning him so to save mana for cleric by having one thats has a clicky is good :)

does the haste effect stack with item haste? just curious, i am not a rogue and i have no clue :D

The effect of the Ragebringer does not stack with a "worn" haste item. It will however stack with a Haste spell or song.

I think our Seething fury also can stack with say,the Eyepatch of Plunders haste effect also, clickable. or is that a haste spell also and say a shammy casts Celerity on u, does it overwrite the EoP haste ?

if anyone has problem's PP'ing the parchments, just pp the guy for a couple, 2-3 times should be good enough and then hail em...i got both parment peices and my pp skill was at 150 and i was lvl 46 when i got both, so it can be done.

i have two rogues. one is lvl 47. my new one is 51. the 47th one has a book from hate. he doesnt desire the ragebringer =) my new one does tho, so does anyone have nfo on if i can multiquest the book from the first rogue, and then turn in the parchment from the second rogue? or does the lvl 47th rogue need to be higher in lvl? or is it even possible at all...does anyone know?

My book was Multiquested from a guildy.
If I remember correctly, the book was handed in first, then I snuck on Yendar and handed him the note. Renux spawned, Dual Druid Kited, me, monk, wizard did the damage.
Doing this while 2 boxing or logging one character and logging the other on may be a problem.

yes...but..to multiquest....does the rogue whos going to multiquest the book need to be lvl 50+ cuz i dun really feel like grabbing 3 lvls with him lol.

I've done this naked Plane of Hate run for the Book of Souls 4 times now. The first time for myself, and the other three for others showing them how to do it. This is the best way to get the Book of Souls.
Put all your gear in the bank except a sow potion and the portal stone. Find/ask/pay a 65 wizard who's LFG (or a guildie) to port you there. Before you port there, sow yourself. Give the wizzy the stone and let him or her port you to POH. When you zone in, immediatly sneak/hide and DO NOT SIT DOWN (sitting is dangerous in POH entry). The Wizzy immediatly casts a Nexus Translocate on you. The wizzy then ports out leaving you to go get the book. Put the Nexus TL acceptance window off to the top of your screen. Start heading for the book. Because the Nexus TL is instant, there is never any reason to die getting the Book of Souls. If you get agro, simply accept the TL to nexus, heal up and try again. It's really not hard at all. I've only died once using this method, but it was my own error and not the method's error that caused that.
Also, if you are not in a guild with a 60-65 Wizzy that is not scared of POH, then you will have some convincing to do. I've found it easiest to simply explain in detail what I need THEM to do. If you send a tell to a 65 Wizzy LFG and simply ask "Can you port me to POH" they will assume you are doing a raid and may not want to raid at that moment. So it's best to say "Can you port me to POH, TL me to Nexus and then you can port out and go about your merry way". Then most just are curious but agree. But it's always easier if you know a high level wizzy or are guilded.
This method is better than the raid method for two reasons that I can see. First, most raids on Hate will have several Rogues all wanting that book. So if your raid succeeds, and you do get the book, you still have to roll on it or whatever to get it. So the success rate is based a bit on luck when trying to raid for the book.
Secondly, if someone has recently gotten the book then you spend a lot of time raiding just for nothing.
The wizzy port/TL to nexus method is 100% safe from dying, and the only disadvantage is that it costs a bit for the hate stones. But really, it's well worth it.
There may be better methods that I'm not aware of, but this is a 100% safe method. I hope it helps someone.

Same as above but purchase one of the insta-cast gate potions off vendors for 1k each.
Definately not a method for the faint of hearted or small pocketbook, but it's also free from failure as the potion is instant cast, just make a hotbutton out of it in your inventory.

Sucessfully pick pocketed both tani and founy with relative ease, tho had trouble with tani, he aggroed 2 times, but made it out safely. My question is: What is the best way to get the book of souls? im about to join a 45+ guild, but my friend said they can raid it, but not with ease. Am i going to have to solo? thanx to all for answers.

I got it solo. It's not *that* hard, but it can get scary. Best thing to do is get the stone you need to get ported there (sold in Neriak Cleric guild, forget its exact name.. then get someone to killl you in an arena area, such as the one in West Freeport. This allows you to have the full 3 hour rez timer without losing exp. Have a Cleric somewhat ready to give you some sort of raise, after you grab the Book. After that, either get a very brave Wizard to port you in there and immediately gate out from your guild, or pay someone. The truth is that there's zero danger in the port-in area. The moment you step out, that's another thing. I had to pay my ride 700p before he agreed.
Upon entering, immediately sneak hide, get out of the building, and hand a right. You'll hit the wall, which is very near by. Make another right, and follow the wall basically the whole way. At this point you can use the map from eqatlas.com.
When I went, I made it, but the book wasn't there. I had to camp so my raise timer didn't drop down. Nothing was in the room with me at the time. I logged back in two hours later, no book, no mob.. the second time, book was there, as well as a mob that I'm surprised didn't see me. Anyway, once you grab the book, get your Cleric to raise you, and you're done with that step.

You can also get a paladin to help you. They have a 0% rez at pretty low levels also, and that's all you need to get out after a duel. However, if you do duel anywhere else, remember you have a 10 minute timer.

ack that seems kinda hard. If the port in area is safe, then why do you have to pay the wizzy so much if he/she can just port you in and then port himself out right then and there? hmm ok good i have a 60 cleric friend to help me and a 55 wizzy friend to help as well, now alls i have to do is wait till 46!

hello all. i have a couple questions about my epic, i am a halfling rogue of the 40th season on the tunare server.
1. How do i get into neriak 3rd gate without having all those de's agro?ive heard about using the mask, but does it last through zoning?
2. My pp is 189 atm, if i get cought by either, could i make it to the zone line with sow?

I would recommend sneak/hiding all the way too him, even if you have the DE mask- there are random guards that saw through my DE illusion and tried to give me a beatin'.
A word of caution. At the time of this post (June 22, 2003). They have added a new mob in Neriak Commons for the newbie quests involving killing rats. His name is Exterminator ???. The problem with this mob is that he sees through all forms of invis including our sneak/hide. He will aggro you as will every guard there. I am a Vah Shir Rogue so with Mask of Deception they are all indiff or better to me. However Tani aggroed me on one of my attempts to pp and he and his pals dropped me before I hit the door to run out. Going back for CR is when I found the Exterminator that sees through. You can jump in the water to the right before the 2nd gate in Neriak commons and loop around the back to bypass the Exterminator. Hopefully SoE will fix this as I'm sure they didn't intend for this one mob in all of Neriak to see through invis. Hope this helps anyone doing the quest.

Completed ragebringer last night. To answer your questions about the mask...I was KOS to the guards when visible with the mask and DE form on (I either have the wrong diety or killed too many guards) so I used hide/sneak into & throughout the city. After you zone, rehide/sneak...they do not see through it. The way I safely pickpocketed Tani is I brought a mage with me who could CoH. He sat at the zone to the 3rd gate. Cast DE form on yourself at the zone before you go to pick Tani and show up at 6pm game time. Tani will respawn at 7pm and as of Jan 20 2003 he is still spawning and despawning starting at 7pm thru 8pm game time. I had to go through 4 respawns until I was actually on my mark to pick at 7pm and witnessed him spawn & respawn repeatedly and I finally picked the note at that time. It is HIGHLY recommended by most epiced rogues that your PP skill should be at 200 when you do this. Also, for some reason when I picked Tani even though I was hide/sneaking as soon as I picked him, I became visible but Tani is fooled by the mask of deception I conned dubious when visible in DE form & was not attacked. Even with a PP skill of 200, Tani did attack me 3 times & I had to be CoHed to zone by my mage friend. I picked Tani up to 40 times in attempt to get note. Once you have about 10 "unsuccessful" messages at 200 PP skil, you can be pretty sure you will have to wait for him to respawn.

Yes, you can poison ANY piercing weapon, including ones with procs (gotta be a Rogue though). I'm not entirely sure about the new PoP poisons, but pretty sure they work that way too.
Poisons last until you zone, camp, LD, or use them. Old World poisons have a one-shot effect, new PoP poisons have a proc-like effect for a given amount of time.

What weapon could I get to go with this for about 5k... Which hand should I put each in? Thanks
That's a tough question. A lot of people say get the fastest weapon you can, which is a good idea, others stress a lot of stats, I got for a little of both using a Blood Point for the extra SVdis and STR and a nice 21 Delay and extremely helpful proc. With 5k, you could get a nice weapon of about any kind. Obviously though, you're not going to be able to buy a better mainhand than your epic with 5k, so stick with that. For offhand, it's probably best now to use another piercer, whereas before 50 it's usually best to use a 1hs or 1hb offhand (piercing has a slight advantage over slashing and blunt, about 5-10 skill points), but that's really up to you.
With that in mind, here's a few options. Prices might be out of your 5k range, but servers vary HEAVILY on prices, as you probably know.

But say I got a fast weapon, Like a 10/18, Should I put it in primary or secondary. People say you want your backstab to be high so put higher damage in your primary, so im confused...
Don't offhand your Ragebringer until you get something in the same damage range as it. For example, if you were to find a weapon that were, say, 14/18, I'd put that primary because the extra backstab damage you'd get from the RB won't be seen to a great extent, whereas the highspeed of your 14/18 will really kick ***.
That 10/18 should go offhand because in main, you won't do that much damage in your backstabs. Your backstab damage is a function of the weapons damage, (10 in this case, 15 in the case of the RB) so you would expect the ragebringer to backstab ROUGHLY 1.5x higher than the 10 damage.
In my case, I was using a 10/21 main before epic and hitting right near 300 for backstabs at level 54. After my 15/25 epic, I've been hitting in the mid 400s and I doubt I've hit my max yet.
Rogue weapons are a pain because of this backstab rule. We do NOT get any weapons above 16 damage because the backstab damage would just be too high and all the wizzy's would complain because we'd do more damage than their best DDs. Getting your Ragebringer is fairly easy, guilded or unguilded, i got mine as soon as i hit 50, i had pickpocketed the guildmasters by age 35, at 46 and 1 yellow i did a solo run into hate, drop all your stuff off in the bank, go up naked apart from an Insta port potion/item, i used the halfling Leatherfoot raiders quest cap with 1 charge of Ring of Commons on it, soon as you come out of the port in building go right (a kind wizzy freind ported me up then gated out) go slightly up the wall but not much, as you will agro stuff from upstairs. turn left along the wall for about 3 buildings then turn left and head straight into the middle of the zone to the fountain, into the meastros building up the stairs, far left corner from the top of the stairs is the bedroom with you hope your book on the bedstand, there are only a few mobs who can see thro your Stealth mode, one being the meastro, full details and a map can be found on the Safehouse Rogue epic forum, when i got back from getting my book i had to log for half an hour to calm my nerves, it was a hell of a adrenalin rush hehe, much more fun than going up with a raid, and waiting for them to clear that far.
I was also lucky with the General and with Renux, Renux took a group and a half of friends to take down, could have done with one group probably or less, depending on your friends hehe, the General I just kept popping into Kith and seeing if a raid was going on and asking if i could join in, we killed the General 4 times in one game night for my hand in but no Quill, Phinny was a bit of a pain, but people are always doing him for the Wiz and Mage staffs so, you can sit in on his raids easily enough, the rest is just running around doing hand ins, killing a lot of greenie bandits to get villneous to spawn, be carefull you dont get too close to his PH or you will have to run to the zone to clear the aggro list, or face killing him and starting the cycle again.

Same day as i picked the DE i did the dwarf, same level, same skill. have 2 comps so i made a level 1 dwarf, gave bow and arrow, bound her at zone line dwarf is at, hit with arrow, stood at zone till he came and killed me, he stays for about 2-3 picks, and walks back, did that and about 3 tries, got the note

When getting this book solo why not kill yourself in Freeport by attacking the guards and running to the zone? Then have your cleric friend wait there at your corpse until you say when to rez. Just my 2cp

I have heard that you can get the booh from hate with out a raid. that there is a map that shows a way to get the book with no adds. If so i would like to see it.

If you can survive the entry...you can get the book by yourself. It is a long arduous sneak/hide, but it can be done alone. You have to have a thorough understanding of how sneak works vs mobs for this to work. I do not know if there is a route map available or not. What worked for somebody else in this case may not work for you because you have to avoid being seen. You may want to get a port and give it a shot...i'd take a group with ya in case ya get jumped goin in. I am going back to get a second book for the High Elf mask soon and will be doing it this way.

I do not recomend this at all. From conversations I have had with Guides/GMs in the past, the picking through the roof *is* considered an exploit and can result in a warning/suspension. Luring Tani to the zoneline is acceptible, although you won't be making any friends with travelling enchanters. They call it the z-axis exploit.

I used Z-Exploit for the note. Before that, I employed a wizzy to pull Tani to the zone, but he would despawn as soon as I hailed him. THIS IS A BUG. I tried this 4 times, and he still depopped. The wizzy almost died too, so I felt bad.
EQ CHEATS ME, I CHEAT IT.
I used the Z-Exploit to successfully pick the note without putting myself or anyone else in more mortal danger. If I guide approached me and warned me for cheating, I would plead this case, and if he didn't have his head up his ***, he'd probably accept it.

I don't see what the problem picking Tani is. I have 200pp skill, picked the note for myself and for some Tunare based friends. Often enough that I've gotten 6 notes from him, in about 30 attempts or so. He's never attacked me.
Turn sneak on and stand behind him when you're doing the picking. I dunno if it helps or not, but look at my track record.

People say cleric epic is better, I can find a damn few things better than cleric epic...remember the click effect is a spell clerics already get, the main plus is that its 0 mana.
also chanter epic people say is better but most melees prefer VoG and theres also a group version of the epic spell which pretty much trivializes it i guess.
so i think this is number 1, bard is second and mage is 3rd :)

Soooo ... whats about the Monk Epic ? The Fists of a Monk became, just if we wear the Epic to dmg 9 dly 16 (ratio 1,777). Rogue epic is dmg 15 dly 25 (ratio 1,666). So the ratio isn't to much apart.
Second is the 40% haste on the rogue epic. It's Item Haste, so it will not stack with any other item haste. Only with songs and spells (and do you always have a bard or an enchanter/shammy with you ?) :D
The monk epic has a 41% hast SONG. So we can have any haste item (also if its only the 11% belt in grimmling forrest, which will take you at lvl 50 about 1 hour to get it) and it will stack with our epic :D
Fazit, i think the monk epic still is a little bit better than the rogue epic.
The huge advance of the rogue epic is, that there arent many weapons out there, with have such a nice dmg for backstab.
But there are a lot of weapons, with a better ratio than our fists :)
But once again, the huge advantage of our (monk) epic is, we can use any weapon with a better ratio, and we still have the normal item haste AND the 40% song haste :)
so think again about it, if the rogue Epic is a better epic than the monk epic ;)

you're forgetting that the Rage adds 40 raw attack, which ends up being around 56 attack once you hit 60 or so. I'm not going to jump in the argument XYZ class epic is better than ABC class epic.
Well, think of it this way:
When was the last time a raid was cancelled because the epic rogue couldn't make it.
When was the last time a raid was cancelled because the epic cleric couldn't make it.
To the average raid size force, a rogue with epic is a little extra damage. A cleric with epic is 2 hours less downtime if you wipe.

I know this is prolly a pretty dead thread and no one will ever read this...but on the off chance someoen will I'd just like to say the bard epic is way more important to the class then any other. Not because its a great wep, my friends lvl 60 bard has several weps with better dmg/dly ratios. Its best because it counts as every type of instument and adds a big bonus to singing songs (not to mention it procs a group haste spell 10% better then our best song). Bottom line I've never met a bard who would ever consider banking their epic. As for the rouge epic I'd say cleric mage and enc epic are all better just to name a few =)
I was about to say what you said. Pound for pound Bard and Clerics have the most useful, important and 'must have' epics in the game for their class. Take a look at all the high end guilds on your servers. Most of them do not require you to have your epic to join -except- Clerics and Bards.

Easy to obtain by 52 even if you are not guilded. The difficult parts are:
a) Book of Shadows - This is obtained by either joining a PoH raid OR getting a wizzie to port you up and go get it solo. Solo is the most dangerous way obviously, but if you take your time and get a good map, you will succeed. Just be sure to bring a Cazic Gate potion with you for a fast exit.
b) Renux - Only lvl 50 or so but she hits VERY HARD and VERY FAST! Can do it easily with a high group of 50's or 2 groups of low 50's. I have seen her slowed by a 54 chanter, but the chanter went oom trying.
c) General V'Ghera - This is the most difficult fight of the Rogue epic, but usually when a rogue is doing the General, they would welcome more rogues also doing theirs if you bring along a few useful friends.
Just a FYI though.. Stanos, who is the main character you interact with for the epic will not speak to you until you are level 50. You can begin to gather some items first (notes, book), but cannot really complete it till 50.

Turns out that General V'Ghera drops 2 pieces you need for the epic, one of them is always there and the other is a rare drop. if you don't get the rare piece, the Casik Quill(sp again, this is all off the top of my head), then you hafta do a subquest.
The subquest is that you have to collect 4 robes, the Robe of the Oracle, the Robe of Ishva, Shining Metallic Robe, and the Robe of the Kedge.
The first three are buyable, and are easy to have drop, but the last one drops off a mob in Kedge Keep named something like Phinigel Autropros or something wierd like that, he's a giant fish/man creature. He's deep in there and needs a raiding party to pull off.
I'm not too positive on the details and it's late so the names could be off by a bit so don't quote me, but other than that there are 3 and if you're unlucky, 4 parts that you have to do with a raid or atleast a group.
Good luck getting yours, I'm still FAR from mine, but I can feel it tugging at me.

UM when they kill the general the clear out the dark elfs who drop the kedge and ishva robes so you dont have to kill phinny- but dont have to worry bout that my guild has one banked for MQ anyways. and you can buy a MQ of the kedge robe for alot of money.
it's usually easier to clear the DE house and hope the coercer drops the kedge robe (if you have old world models, if the coercer has the blue robe she won't drop the kedge if I remember correctly). It's usually best to clear the house (spawn time 8 hours) and keep trying. Just leave up one mob as common courtesy for any other rogue that is about to do their turn in.

After 6 different times attempting to PP the rogue master in Neriak, i can up empty handed and died my last try... Skill was at 192, so unfortunetly i have to wait for 200. <i guess> BTW i got the page from kaladim my first try with 190 skill. Hope this helps.

I got my note after about 6 trips to Neriak and numerous runs to zone (make sure you have fresh SoW before entering Neriak, and also I dont recommend using SoE since it's kinda hard to run up and down stairs and stuff while levitating). On my last trip I got the note on the second attempt.

Hi there. Just thought i'ld let you know how i did this part. First, get a friend to make a level 1 DE necro. give your new level 1 necro friend a few gold and a couple bone chips. Have him/her buy,scribe,mem it.Next have them go to the rogues guild in the third gate. Next , have their pet attack the rogue in question while they run back to the zone where you should still be standing with DE illusion (if possible). Next the DE rogue will come after the necro and kill them right in front of you. At this point the rogue will smack the necro down like a ranger in sebilis. Then for some reason the rogue will just stand there staring off into space. Feel free to PP away. He or she (can't remember now) never noticed me at all. Took 3 PPs on the first attempt with this method. Good luck to you if you havent gotten it already.

Well you can make you own newbie DE for this as needed. But you will need to pull every spawn, since he depops and respawns once per game day.
It is just a question of patience. But beware, the note is a lot harder to pick than junk stuff (at least that is my experiance), so just because you can pick him clean in 6 tries or son normally, you might well need 15 tries or so for note. I have picked that note 3 times and only have 180 in PP, so that is not a problem. Never needed more than 4 spawns for one note.

I got my pieces on the first visit to each city, with 198 Pickpocket skill. I guess I was lucky =)
Anyways, what I did for Tani N'Mar was get teh /loc of him by standing right next to him, then I went onto the roof of the Rogue guild and went to that same /loc (except the 3rd #, obviously), keeping Tani targetted. Then I PPed away and got it after about 16 times mashing the hotkey. Now, this way is better because you can get away if he attacks you; DIRECTLY after you hit PickPocket each time, you con Tani. If he goes to Threatheningly, you run real fast to the zone. By DIRECTLY after, I mean you should almost make the click of you PP key and the click of teh "C" button on your keyboard sound as one. This is, IMO, the safest way to PP the Stained Parchment Bottom.
As for Founy, I suppose if you were real paranoid that he was going to attack you, you could go below him in the mines or something and have a TPer there with TL: Bind memmed and ready to go, and you could do sorta the same thing.

I had a Wizzy pull Tani to zone a few times for me, a complete stranger that risked his life for me and NO pay. He pulled Tani 3 times, almost dying once, and Tani kept disappearing and going back to his spawn, even if I hailed him 100 times. He's a total ***. He cheats me, I cheat him. I got the stupid note using this technique and was on my way.

This is incredible how ppl can post bullsheet. I still don't know if it s a triggered effect or a worn effect. Can anyone that has the weapon tell me please. And don t say that you are sure that it is either one or the other if you don t have the weapon in your hand.
Seething Fury is a permanent effect on the Ragebringer. Soon as you equip it, you will get the 40% haste boost, the bonus to Atk and the Ac boost.
This weapon does not proc anything.
