Is this very rare?
# Mar 20 2004 at 9:48 PM Rating: Default
Is this a rare item? It says "common" here but I haven't seen it on my server (Tholuxe Paells). I really want one for my Monk.
melee?
# Sep 16 2003 at 1:57 PM Rating: Excellent
I wouldn't really call this a melee item. No str or sta and 25hp aint a whole lot when theres no sta to go with it. Lets face it a 1hp regen ain't doin crap for a melee who has 5000+ hps especially when there are no other good stats to go with it.(+2 on resists is ok I guess but to little for that slot IMO) The way I see it is if a melee guy wants the regen get a fungi tunic and make up the ac and other stats with better gear with no regen. I might use it in a raid where I'm not the main tank just for the +10 to attack but only if my str and sta was maxed. Just my 2 cents.

Stacking?
# Aug 09 2003 at 11:30 AM Rating: Default
Does this stack with Aura of health, Ceremonial Iksar Chestplate, and/or Fungi?
RE: Stacking?
# Sep 17 2003 at 2:41 PM Rating: Good
All of the "aura of [heath/healing/courage/bravery/etc]" stack with eachother and with all other forms of HP regen.

That is to say, this is effectively flowing thought for hitpoints.

However, that's not why this is a great effect.

For those who don't know: the way you get better taunt is to raise your ATK and DEX (assuming you have a proccing weapon(s) with good taunt-value) and lower your delay (directly via weapon or indirectly via haste).

You can max out haste and DEX easily (chanter buffs can max DEX without breaking a sweat), though the quest for a good taunting weapon is always fun.

You can max out your STR fairly easily and that helps ATK.

However, to get raw ATK out of an item is a godsend to those who need to eek out that last bit from their weapons. There's nothing like missing less to up your dps (which, for an MT is really just for taunt value, you're not going to touch the nukers).

Anyone who has hard information to the contrary (not just, "ATK ain't worth doodoo") please speak up.

[edited: changed "mana regen" to "hp regen", oops]

Necro's too!
# Mar 02 2003 at 12:32 PM Rating: Default
Call it a 'melee focus' all you want.
This Necro mana-battery sees Regen (on a belt!), hp, mana, and saves and you can better believe I expect a shot at it beside any dice-happy melees.

Actually, health regen and mana regen are virtually the same to a necro due to our strong lich line of spells. This is effective a FT item to a Necro.

Every necro drools at this item and should be allowed to roll on it.
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 10 2003 at 5:05 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) HAH! Hey mister Necro I don't mind you rolling on regen items as long as you don't mind us hybrids rolling on flowing thought items :)

#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 09 2003 at 8:03 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Dude, are you an idiot? Necros are ALL about regen. What the hell would you do with FT?
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 09 2003 at 8:06 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ok, I'm the idiot. I didnt read "hybrid" and now I cant figure out how to remove my post. Still, necros are ALL about regen. Regen is as important to a necro as a melee

I'd say it's actually more important as a general rule. High end necros lose at least 30 hitpoints every six seconds if they're only using lich. Most melees usually have healers or some other way of healing or not getting hit . . . let's face it, 1 per tick adds up, but necros, shammies, and the high end SKs are the ones that would be most likely to gain a consistent benefit from it. It's a nice item all in all, but would probably make the biggest impact on the classes that have health to mana spells.

1 per tick does add up: its 6hp every minute. Hardly with caring about.
attack too
# Feb 27 2003 at 10:42 AM Rating: Default
icrease attack by 5 also, plus the 25hp, and saves. not as much hp as a spidy fur belt tho.
Hmmmm...
# Feb 27 2003 at 8:55 AM Rating: Default
As a monk I'm wondering if I would use this over a Spider Fur Belt. But it's a dandy belt nonetheless.

Has REGEN. Only 1pt but still. That makes this ROCK a spider fur belt.

Yup nice if only that there are some drops starting (however small) for melees, every other drop has a focus effect for mana slingers these days.

The only AoB (etc) effects are from high end encounters that most will never see.

I hope there are more "melee focus" effects on items.
