SoE has not added the Required Level for the click effect on this and many other items. I applaud them for the items they have done so with, but many more are in need of attention, like the Kunark class armor for example. Bazaar buyers beware. :)
It's sad not much real info is here. Seen someone ask what level was required to click, got rated down. Well answer if you can, or I shall edit this post when my toon hits the req. level.
Sold this back in bazaar today on morell Thule for 8k. Bought for 7700pp back in june 2003(see pricing data). It must still be in demand. Is really not a bad stat mask, especially for the clicky. It may be that morell thule's economy is jus going nuts again too.
never noticed this much but browsing thru the olld posts back to 2002ish i see alot of ppl still speaking of who should get this mask, i mean common, u can buy a better "stat" mask but its the clickie yaulp 2 on it that makes this mask worth value. If you give this to a class who can't normally cast it , its a hell of alot nicer then what most ppl say it is. >_> atleast it seems it is i could be wrong <_<
Does the Yaulp II effect stack with Frenzy? I know it stacks with the other BST buffs already but I know frenzy cancels out more temporary stat buffs like fleeting fury etc. etc.
I have this mask on my lvl 40 monk. The only problem I have is that the cast time is a little long and thus this gets interrupted A LOT! Is there any kind of item/effect which will shorten the cast time on this item?

This mask was great for me in seb and velks when i needed a little extra ac from getting lots of agro as a result of slowing. got it for about 6k, good deal imo.
You may flame as necessary, but this would be a great Rogue item... before BS click and Boom bigger stabs quicker kills. My rog is Dex heavy followed by str because so many str spells exist to throw stats to the roof, but in those situations where Im not at max str I would rather be able to maintain a str 22 pts higher on my own then drain the shammies already tapped pool of mana. Go ahead take your best shots... (9 wis wasted on the rog)
I know someone asked this earlier, and the thread went from NBG to the exacts on the cast... but where exactly is the Storm Giant Warlord? I typically hunt the entrance, Hsagra section, or arena with my guild and I'm curious as to where I might find this. It says uncommon under rarity, so is it possible to farm these? I also read that the warlord is a placeholder for another mob... any information please?
The Yaulp line is an 18 second Buff that includes + to Str/ + to AC and a minor stamina regen. The attack modifier for Yalup 1-3 is from str only, it is not a direct atk modifier like Yalp IV.
As far as classes, everyone seems a lil biased. As far as who it is good for, it is good for a lot of classes. The wis is great for Wis Based casters including Hybrids due to the AC/wis combo. As for a monk it is a great mask also. Just depends on who is there in the grp and/or how the raid leader decides who needs before others.
I just bought this mask for my beastlord and i have to say this mask is just what the beaselord class needs the wis and ac are great but its the effect that makes it awesome for bst. + 20 str and i have to say it is awesome

First of all this Mask would ROCK for any shaman. When inc is called you click the mask. Now when you slow the mob and get agro, and you KNOW you will, you have MUCH better ac and can smack the baddie a little bit in the process. The wisdom caster that gets pounded on more than any other is the shaman, at higher levels. They fixed the heal agro but not the slow agro. I have seen a tank come back from a pull with 10% life left and get CH'ed by a cleric and then the cleric sits down to med and the mob does nothing. I slow the mob in the first 30% of its life and its comming for my ***** Shaman's would get the MOST use out of this mask. One of the higher wis/AC mask combos out there and with the Y2 the ac is even better, and for soloing it is VERY sweet, root click smack. Just my 2cp
The WIS casters feel that this mask should belong to them by devine right because of the obvious +9 WIS - the +20 STR boost it gives is viewed as insignificant.
So let's say that instead, this mask only gave +2 WIS and +9 STR, but happened to have a right clickable clarity, WIS buff, mana boost, or simular in value to you as the STR buff is to the tanks.
By your reasoning, you'd have to let that wonderful buff goto waste on a tank since he's gonna get more use out of it for the primary STR stat?
NBG only works if everyone understands what everyone elses needs are, then, there won't be any acusations of greed.
20 str is meaningless if you can hunt in Kael and get one of these. The Shaman in the group is going to have you buffed to max str anyway. If you are in an NBG group, this goes to Priest and Wis Hybrid. End of story. If you are not doing NBG, any class gets an opportunity.
It may be a little more valuable to a Shaman in the fact that the stamina gives a bit more to canni, so quicker mana regen, but a Cleric, Druid, Paladin, Ranger, BL, would all love to wear it if they did not have better. I am pretty sure most other classes would only want to sell it or twink.
Yaulp 2 is a crappy excuse for a spell at higher levels.
I'd use the crap out of this mask, not saying that there aren't better out there, because there are. In some situations there isn't a shammy availible like in Seb. and you find the other classes playing fill in positions. In these situations I find myself buffing peeps quite often as a 54 ranger and Storm Str, although an awesome spell, cannot always make up for the difference I have to sacrifice in some stats to try and raise others. I would hang onto this mask as a switch in peice for when no shammy is availible which tends to be quite often.

Attempting to compare a stupid stat buff to clarity is LAUGHABLE as it's nowhere near the same in power. put 20 str on a tank and see how much it really does for him, compared to the extra mana that a wis caster is going to pick up off this item and anyone with any modicum of intelligence can see that wis casters should get first pick on this. Wouldn't matter if it was 50 STR as any self respecting tank high enough to hunt in Kael allready has damn near max str anyhow.
