I camped ToFS with a partner for at least 8 hours, we made it up to the 5th floor so far. Many pieces of gnome skin armor dropped except arms, legs and the tunic. Any advice or hunting suggestions on how to obtain these pieces?
I have yet to see the tunic drop, but all the Gnome Skin armor that dropped for me, dropped on the third floor. I havent gone past the 5th floor as to date. The gnome skin dropped randomly off mobs on the 3rd floor for me. From what a monk that asked to join me said, the legs are not a common drop. I had alot of caps, shoes, belts, and gloves drop, but only one set of legs.
I've been to all 7 floors, and gnome skin appears to drop on each floor. So far, we've always looted it from shadow beasts of every flavor (including guards, cooks, etc.).
Only 2 pieces dropped for us last night in 5-6 hours, and 1 piece last week in another similar length raid, so I agree it isn't common, but it isn't rare either. Call it uncommon I guess.
I camped near the zone in with a group of mid forties. Nice XP easy kills constant flow. Also every 2nd mob dropped Gnome skin, we got 2 sets in under 2 hours. BTW it looks Black when worn ,REALLY black great look fer monks and druids, great set for Trak raids too.;)
Ok everyone... Where do the arms drop? I have yet to see any websites saying anything about the arms. I saw someone with arms and i was too busy trying to buy them off the person to find out what floor it drops on. I camped the first floor for 10 hours and didnt find a single "arm" piece *sighs* my friends camped the third floor. no arm pieces. i wish i could have asked that druid about them when i saw her. oh well. maybe someone will see this and read it.
I camped the first floor for a few hours and I didn't find Gnome skin arms either. I did find Shadowbone arms AC4 Str+2 Agi+2 Mana+5 usable by everyone except monks. This item dropped off of a shadow beast. It had an ordinary leather appearance when equiped unlike the cool black leather look of the gnoll skin armor.
The shadowbone Arms look like black armbands when worn by a Dark Elf and not just like ordinary leather. They look very nice on my Necromancer who has been wearing raw silk arms since level 4. 51 necromancer Xev.
