ok for you who say this gives no int IT DOES! you have the trinkered one which GNOMES make it gives no int but the same effect. if you got one from some one it's the wrong one
when this item first came out it was an AMMO slot item and the int DID NOT get added because of a problem w/items w/stats in ammo slot.. then they changed it to a RANGED item and after they did, the int was added.. so you are both right

I donno what anyone could find wrong with a caster having 5 int in there useless range. I used this up to 54 as a mage untill I was able to aquire something better. Not only was it 5 Int but fun to play with when medding.

Just wanted to say I got one of these and they have no int modifier. Think the only thing they are good for is to turn into the Sifaye for their crest.

its said that this item goes in the AMMO SLOT (thats right, not range)they might nerf it but they might just change it, because according to verant stats arent supposed to go in that slot

So what level is the surveyor and would he be doable by a 52 necro and 52 ranger (or perhaps with a 55 druid added) ?
And ye said you figured out the spawn, could ye please tell us more about it ?

I soloed him as a druid back when I was around 46-48, if I'm not mistaken, so you guys should be ok.

hes lvl 46-49 approx. melees in 125-140 range, lotsa hp like all giants, highly MR. Spawned for me right outside Kael near laborers. Not sure if you guys could do him, so much depends on the player.

I luckily got this item the first day of Kunark and after I figured out the spawn, got a few more for my friends. It is indeed broken but if you petition it and ask a GM to fill out a bug report for you, that should help. Supposedly when they fix the item, the GM will exchange the fixed item to you for your broken one so hold onto it. Hopefully it'll work the same as it should appear to work now by the time its fixed.
Funny that you got a VELIOUS item at the release of Kunark, months before Velious was released. Hmm, yes, well...funny. He. He.

When this item is equipped it does not add +5 int, in fact it adds no int at all. The telescope effect does work. I contacted a GM as well as filled out a bug report on this so hopefully it will get fixed. If you have one of these please submit a bug report so we can get this fixed =)

Okay, it does add the +5 int now, however it fits in the /range/ not the ammo. But still, far better than the Student's Homework I had before, and I was very lucky to be the only person in my group who needed more int items. :)
