I read in a post by Absor that a player who had non-visable Velious armor could turn the armor over to a GM that would give them back a visable piece. I petitioned and a Guide told me to contact GM Grog. I sent a tell to GM Grog twice with no response so I petitioned again. This time a different Giude said he didn't think that my request was possible so I asked him to check. He got back to me and said it was not possible to turn the Guardian Helm over to a GM for a visable one but that there is a Quest to make it visable. Not trusting all guides I petitioned again and a different Guide responded confirming what the first had said. Has anyone else got this response and what is the Quest?

Ok...There is no way to make Guardian Helms visible. There is a quest that involves turning your Velious quest helms (the ones recieved from Skyshrine, Kael and Thurgadin) into people in the city you did the quest for...they will then give you back a helm which when worn...will show the velious graphic.

Ok great. I love the info on this post....BUT....WHO,WHERE,HOW does this quest begin.Next time please give a little more info.

I know there has been some debate on what looks better. Some agree that the winged helmed look on wood elfs is silly looking and others feel that female elves wearing helms look like backwards baseball caps. Many chose to wear head items that although funtional are without the grapchic I think that this 'no drop' item was purposely left without a graphic as it a high wis low ac helm item that mostly priest types will wear(namely clerics). This armor, beside the helm that is from Skyshrine although very funtional has graphic that make it ideal for eyecandy and ceremonies and such, thus I think for visual effect the lack of graphic on the helmet was done purposely.

They intended, as was shown in many QA quests, to give these helms new graphics. They just had a lot of trouble making the new 3d meshes or something and having them look right so they were not done by the release of the game. It continued to be a "we are still working on it thing" for like 2 months.
Finally, after hearing so many people say that they liked the no graphic look MORE and did not want it changed they decided to only give people a graphic via their velious quest helm instead if they chose to turn it in for a new one.
So things like this "helmet" were intended to have the new velious graphic.. they just decided against it. I saw a link somewhere of the new helms and basically many people are VERY glad they did decide against it. I'm kind of disappointed though, I had a few rygorr helms and there are some characters I would wear them on like I think on a female dwarf the graphic is GREAT and I have a lil girl dwarf pally = /

There is a graphic bug with helms that's been around for a month or two. Sometimes a plate helm does not show. Happens to me every couple of days as well as to my ranger friend (his tolan's is 'plate'). Maybe that is coming into play here?

what does this look like when worn? plate, chain? I'd think plate, but I hope not, because human male plate helms look horrible.

Has anyone seen ANY new helm graphics? Plus, when a bard friend of mine swaped this helm in for her lambent it still showed the lambent... Take off both and put on the guardian and ya get no graphic...

I have the helm, and although it has nice stats, it still has no graphic. I have reported it as a bug about 10 times, and have petitioned a few times, but no one seems to know anything. I guess Verant will fix the bug at some point. It should look like a silver skull shaped barbute.
The item graphic should resemble that shown in the demo reel for SoV, IE winged half wrapped helm on humans, kick *** looks.

if it matches the other guardian armor it wilkl be Gold in color at least with some texture desiugns
