This sword absolutely rocks. I want it so bad I can taste it.
Our guild was lucky enough to snag this camp one day, we kept it clean for hours, took down the pally mob 3 times and did not get the sword :( We did however loot the SK sword (given to the mage's pet 30 sec before it rotted) and a huge stack of spells and valuable loot :)
I've been back a few times trying to get into a group, but no luck. So my guess is it's rare and in demand.
As a side note, I found that venturing down there alone is a BAD idea as there is no way out without A) TP/TL B) camping against the wall (this "bug" leaves you upstairs at the front hall - but takes a few attempts) That is, assuming you can invis past the doggies. I was unable to even bribe my way out with 150pp ( asked several wiz/druids)
So bring a group, have fun and good luck to everyone seeing this fine weapon.

My 54 Paly was in TS at Velks when LD called out the this sword dropped and was lucky enough to be the first to get there and loot it.
Dmg 19 + 9 bonus with delay of 25
While I never tried right clicking I did notice during the fight i would lifetap the mob for 32 points of life and was healed for that same 32.

I really feel like an idiot. The lifetap was a proc from werewolf form. But the sword is still deals out awesome damage.

LOL I don't mean this in a bad way I just think it's funny, you have no idea how many times people try out a new weapon when I have them booned on my chanter and they go ******* when they see themselves proc a lifetap so frequently. 100dex and 60% speed and they are procing every few seconds and they think they just found the new priceless weapon that noone else has ever seen. Again don't mean this in a bad way just funny that you realized it yourself afterwards because most don't, they just figure their luck ran out on the procs or VI screwed em by nerfing their weapon. :)

this sword is sweet, i have my 42nd Paladin here to loot it because people are so nice! :) been here about a week so far, no luck.. about 5 spawns of Jelek Icepaw, and no sword :/ hopefully it will turn up soon though!
ps - VI you suck for making dw armor with pal spell effects.. cept for greaves!! grr

ummmm... I'm only a 25th level pally, and I'm not twinked at all (my primary weapon is a Dwarven Axe!) so I haven't had the privelage of owning an item that proc's. My question is this: do items that proc or are clickable use up your mana? Cuz if they don't, that's sweet. That'd be one less spell you have to use mana on, regardless of what spell it is. There's nothing to complain about there.
To answer your question mouseman, a proc or clickable item does not consume any of your mana. Happy hunting :)

he means that Deepwater Greaves are the only armor piece that have a spell that Paladins don't already have.

Was playing my Paladin, Mjollner on BB server this evening. Hanging out in OOT killing seafuries and I get a tell from a freind to git my butt into the pits in Velks and loot it before it rots. So after calming down a bit, get a port from my wonderful guild leader (thats Attreyu) and haul off to Velks. Shout for an escort cause I have no idea where to go, a special thanks to Gentatsu for sacrificing his life in my pursuit of "uberstuffs". This thing rocks.

This Sword is Awesome, was just sniffin around with some guildies on Veeshan trying ot find somewhere to camp and I see the shout " Pally Sword in Pits" so send a tell to the guy to say I'll be right there, turns out its an alt of a friend of mine I grouped with in my early days , he said he would hold for me. After getting a guide down to the pit I drop into the middle of 3 mobs not knowing where to go and thank god for LOH, hehe! Sword was on mob very close to ramp out looks SWEET!! and was nice enough to have ,me switch back to 1hs from my usual 2hs.
I just want to thank Moza for his generosity cause another Pally was /shout will donate 3k to loot sword.

Dropped for me today with a guild group, and I was the only paladin :)
As of today it is 19/25 10ac and 50 Mana. I noticed a nice improvement over the Sword of the morning, and I like the 10ac over the dex. We killed the mob that drops this twice and a PH 3 times. I heard this is very rare and usually the SK sword of pain drops instead. Good luck!

Does Jelek spawn in the pit or tents?

Just curious on how hard this sword will be to get. How often does it drop? What level should I be before I can realistically expect to get in a group that could see this drop? How likely would this sword be rotting and someone yells "Sword of Blessings in pit if anyone wants"? Thanks for any info.

Sword of Blessings looks like a Runed Falchion and/or Elaborate Scimitar (the scimitar that's a mid-quest reward in the druid epic quest)

This dropped in the pit last night off Jelek Icepaw. It is exactly what the pic shows...19/25 10ac 50mana effect: purge. Good luck.

If you know the first room where 5 dogs are (not too far in), its the next room up where 3 dogs sporn, Jelek sporned in the middle of the 3 dogs. Other sporns include any dogs as well as a cleric dog.
The guy was yellow to me at 57 (I'm betting its 58). The fight wasn't too hard... tho it would be best to get a Bard to solo pull him...

the effect is a right click cure poision and cure desease ... not bad for dueling a druid

Wow!! This is a nice sword (duh)!! Better then the SoM and something to have since barely anyone ever goes to the 2nd level of Hate (Darkmetal Falchion). Will have to check for this guy next VL raid. =P Very nice dmg/dly and everyone knows AC > all for melee. Will have to look up the effect. . . anyone know?

Um, alakhazam's uses the delay/damage ratios... not damage/delay... Try to think before correcting people next time.
