I just picked one of these up and didn't bother to use it cause I have a hard time parting with my Worn Crescent Axe. Does the Proc work on the ice critters in Veilous or is it only good for other beasts?
The mith 2 hander is a permanaent hast effect. It doesnt stack. Frankly at this point it is pretty lame. Better off with haste gear than can effect other weapon skills.
As for the weight, face the fact, if your at the point where this weapon really starts to matter, you'd best have a cleric around to heal. Zing shoulndt be an issue. Beyond that the Ration is Between Xygoz and the Razing Sword... NTFB. If the proc is good.. and it seems to want to proc alot its a pretty great 2hander. Until you get into the Truly nuts-o 30/40 ratio range.
I don't know a whole lot about warriors and warrior types, but I'll add my $.02 anyway.
At higher levels, haste doesn't seem to be too hard to come by. Since high level warriors pretty much HAVE to group up to do anything (even with haste items), there are enough classes that can haste you to the cap that having hasting weapons and items becomes unnecessary. Shamans can haste, enchanters can hast, and bards can haste pretty dramatically. As a bard, I would much prefer my tanks concentrate on damage and let me provide the haste; I'm pretty useless in melee situations.
A 24/40 weapon in the hands of a warrior with bard backup would be a great combo. Haste, healing, and stamina songs all provided by the bard whle the tank utterly destroys whatever's standing in front of him. To boot, even if the proc isn't that damaging, bards (and shamans and chanters) can boost dex to make it proc more often.
Well, I'm sure we can debate this all day long. It really seems like a matter of preference.
Ya. I was a little let down with the proc as well, but you are right, this is still a nice 2 hander. I have been able to hit for up to 90 with it so far.
I got one of these last night off of a giant scout in the Great Divide. It does proc for a level 35 but not for my level 24 twink. Anyone tested what level it procs? Also, are these common or was I just very lucky?
It procs for 30dd. I have the Drakkel Icegrinder which the hammer version of this. Any idea what this thing is selling for? Castesreal say 16k. Allakhazam's is between 4 and 8.
It all depends on your server. It's useless asking here. Just go to EC and do a price check. On my server someone is selling the reaver and grinder for 3k each
Got one on the 8th. Didn't realize how awesome it was at first. Unbelievable! Already been offered 10k for it. The simple fact that I haven't sold it should tell you something. Proc's are SWEET. I believe its a graduated dd proc. In other words it goes up with your level. Already at 30, and my 2hs is only 8! Late.
No, from what I can tell the proc is locked at 30 with random resist, and partial resist. This is tested from over a three lvl period with no change in proc.
I received one of these weapons last night. Each time I got it to proc it was resisted. The other Shadow Knight with me had one as well he says Ice Rend is a 30 point Direct Damage. Hope it helps.
Even the big warriors will have trouble swinging this constantly over a long battle. And it has a proc.. big deal.. the Mith 2, is PERM haste, no proc.
