i got a helm and these for 115pp or 40 for helm and 75 for sleeves. In the bazzar i today i saw the helms from 50-150 and the sleeves from 100-175. but the battle mail is out of my reach now that i bough these...sniff sniff. Guess ill have to settle for brigandine tunic

Hey, can a lvl 44 mage kill a ry'gorr elite? let me know will ya?
Would be tricky. You would go through several pets. You do know how to start casting pet spell, then get rid of existing pet just before it finishes, right? Tricky timing, but it can be done. Other wise, probably not. They hit hard and they hit often. Good luck to anyone that tries it.

The armor is uncommon off elites, rare off lower mobs in the fort. I've looted different items from all the different classes of orc there. But... still I have yet to claim the shield =(

I have killed orcs for 10 lvl.. i started at 30 and fought ti'll 40.. then went to guk.. came back at 46 and was soloing the elites... pretty easy as a necro

1) Never seen these drop except from elites.
2) Bring a crew. Elites hit hard. Someplace between hill giants and ice giants, AND have a ton of hitpoints to boot.
3) Learn how to run to Crystal Caverns. Quickest way to escape.
4) Pull from inside fort. No wandering mobs. Also, if quest has started outside, do not pull close to it.
5) Elites come buffed at birth with SoW and all other shaman buffs. Beware.
6) Best druid pull, go invis, go inside, target, back outside and cast.
Enjoy all, we have camped them for a bit, and they are great xp

To be honest, I have yet to see any Rygor Armor pieaces drop from any other orcs in the Rygor Camp other than the Elites. And trust me, I've killed plenty of orcs there. But then again, I don't know about the other servers.
But overall, any Rygor armor is pretty compariable to the Paladin and Ranger quest armors. And in some cases, I would think that Rygor Armor is better.

What you mentioned about the Ry"Gorr stuff being better in some cases then Ranger/Pally quest armor is true, at least in the case of a Ranger. Some parts make the Ivy Etched quest stuff just not worth it to do, have better AC, etc. Other bits of the Ivy are still better.

Spawn rates, drop rates, etc. for anything are the same on all servers. Occasionally some servers will be running an event that isn't taking place on other servers, but for standard mobs and loot, all servers have the exact same code.

I have almost a full suit of this except collar and coif. What I have in place of the collar and coif are better than the Ry stuff). It looks stupid on a gnome, but has awsome stats.

Ry'gorr looks like banded if you do not have the Velious expansion. Also you must have all the load armor set to true in the eqclient folder in program files.

If they are Iron, why do they look like banded?

They look different for each race. Silver chainmail for dwarves and a cool looking flame pattern( chest & legs ) for Dark Elves.

Is there a certain camp where it drops, a certain orc or is it just random off any orc in the zone?
Can drop off oracle at small orc camp by bridge (almost always taken.. free sometimes at like 4 am central time) along with rest of rygorr.
Main area of dropping is the orc fort off elites, oracle and the chief. These orcs are always camped too though I've heard them actually asking for people around 3 am when people start crashing.
The chief is the only one who drops the chest piece, the battlemail.
