As of 8/28/04 it sells for 4s 8c w/ CHA 150 in the Bazaar to Dolsoj Warrebs.
I found this as a ground spawn in great divide and Eastern Wastes. The vendors tell they will give me absolutely nothing for it. If someone is foolish enough to buy it from you in the bazaar, it might be worth picking up.

Most (if not all) foraged items that are *forage only* are not sellable to NPC vendors, for obvious reasons.
Finding something on the ground (unless it is no drop, or now, no trade*) does not necessarily mean it is a ground spawn. Foraging races/classes have been leaving trails of foraged items all over Norrath since the beginning of time. >.< Also for obvious reasons. Especially in the case of non-stackable items.

It doesn't have the magic "This item can be used in tradeskills", so unless anybody knows of a quest, looks like it's merely vendor trash I'm afraid.

I looted it, but don't know what it is used for ~ It's none stackable so I will probably just sell it to a merchant.

got tons of these?? anyone know of the name of the Dwarf that need his axe to be rapired?? anyone tried the smithing for these? Any other components needed for the axe repair?

This is not the Velium you need for the axe repair quest (phenocryst's focus) You need a piece of the stackable velium that drops in the Crystal Caverns. The guy you need to get the axe from is in the mines under Thurg. He is the NPC behind the giant crystals deep in the mine.

As in Subject line--small chunks of Velium can be foraged in ANY of the SoV zones, and so far have gotten them in All the zones leading upto and including Cobalt Scar, and am pretty sure it will drop in the others past that (most likely excluding the two new Planes however).
I had thought I saw somthing about them being used in smithing, and am starting to think mabye I just read somthing of that nature in another post on some other forum site....The problem of reading thru (what is usually "hear-say" information that this person was told by another person off that server, or my/or a ______ (where blank add person of choice, ie..friend,relative,{my fav..}A GM (hah) or Guide (heh)) said THIS or THAT..
(where THIS or THAT turns out to be a bunch of "Hog-wash" as opposed to some other words I could use!)

Now all that needs to be done, is adding a "Rumors and Complete Bull" forum site for all these people to go onto for the posting of their useless to somtimes miss-leading, and always annoying wasteful blathering...

In the Thurgadin tunnels a Coldain is standing at some ice and asks to have his axe being repaired by the smithy. The smithy asks to also bring a small chunk of velium to repair the axe.

Anybody tried smithing this thing? For example:
2 Small chunk of Velium + water to create Velium Bits (using velium in place of small piece of ore).
OR
Small chunk of Velium + water to crate Velium Boning (using velium in place of Small Brick of Ore)
We know recipes call for Velium Boning for the new reinforced stuff.

you have the recipe wrong, is a small PIECE of velium that is used for smithing, not the small CHUNK

yes, this is a New meatal that was added in the velous expation. go to Dwarf city nearby u might find a book on that

This is a Primary/Secondary item, so it doesn't seem like you'd be able to use it for smithing, but I know nothing about that, so I could very well be wrong...
