#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 21 2001 at 6:12 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Me and my partner were camping this guy last night, and the weight reduction was not 25%, but 35%. These are a great way to make friends, since they are Herb's common drop and they are also lore. Just let someone else come up and loot em =)

Since they changed how the stats were displayed on bags now, there is no more guessing. Right-click and let us know what % it is. I'm too lazy to go get one, and 25% doesn't overly excite me anyway... =)

Most people don't test the weight reduction correctly. You have to use very heavy items because the weight that is displayed in your character stat screen is rounded. Here's a hypothetical example:

Your total weight is displayed as 90. Your _actual_ weight is 89.7 but it has been rounded up for the display.

You move your 6.0 weight item from a regular container to the herbalist pack. Your weight now displays as 88 and you conclude that the weight reduction is 35%. In fact, your actual weight has been reduced to 88.2, and the displayed value has been rounded down.

I suggest when testing packs you _fill_ it with at least 20.0 weight in items. This test will be accurate to 5%.

If you put a 10 wgt sword in the bag at 25% redux you get a rounded wgt of 7. As someone above noted, EQ will round out wgt to the closest even number. Try putting 100 wgt in the bag (I dare you), that will tell you the exact redux.

Should be easy enough to do...
Some of the stackable food products weigh 0.8 6 stacks of 20 of these will be 96 weight. I'm sure there are some foodstuffs that weigh 1.0.

The large bricks of ore would work, but I have been led to believe that the 6 stacks of 20 stackable foods used in the example above will not work.
A stack of food will weigh the same if it has one item or twenty pieces of food.

#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 16 2000 at 9:57 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) As you can surmise by the name, the Ry'Gorr Herbalist drops this pack.
