I had this little gem of a weapon for some time on my cleric as a wee lad. Got rid of it a long time ago as now he's grown up.

Now I'm thinking that Tizzys are good hunting for my up-and-coming Ranger, and this weapon would make an excellent mainhand companion to my offhand Centi Warhammer.

Wow, I didnt realize that this was considered "good" I guess I'll keep it, since my main is now my lvl 36ranger rather then my 49druid, I'll just go get the dark ember on druid and sell both of them =P

"good" is the ratio. it is the attack delay divided by the damage. This are really a few other ratios above this... this is a ratio of 3... the damage will divide into the delay 3 times. its a GOOD ratio. 2 times is amazing and less then 2 is godlike. Since you are raid level its not unrealistic for you to have better. This also does not take into account the bonuses and stuff. I personally have a GREAT 2hb but when using my testament I need a nice 1hb... I have a hammer of boggling but would love one WITH wis also. so for me this is a great item, AND I could get a lot of xp off the mob.... he sounds pretty easy since I am soloing HG at 34....if not ill just RUN as a druid. :)~

Also if he keeps giving XP and the mace, its lore... so I can only have one, I might have to beat him with his own mace.... but from the sounds of it I do not want to be near him.

Look up the IBC you can get it around lvl 20 from kurns tower. Its 7/18 +4 wis +4str -2int Procs fleeting fury. Me and a SK from my guild hunted the undead jester only took 2-3 days 4 hours a night lvled a few times and worked up a good rationship with fellow guildie who now trust me to keep him alive. So all and all not a bad way to spend your lowwer lvls.

Everytime I port to GD i check my track and 80% of the time Yaka will be up. I take 5 minutes, camo, track em and kill. 100-200pp on this item seems fair considering it is such an easy item to get.
Um something went wrong.

I tried to input a price and something went wrong. It input over and over. Seems like well over 25 times. Someone might want to look into this.

Got this for 95pp off a player on Erollisi server. Really, Luclin has brought the price of this item down drastically (it's still a good item). As long as you aren't on a server that has a ruined economy (say Tholuxe Paells), you should be able to find this at around the 100pp range.

I was running across GD today and came upon Razorhoof walking outside the caves. What the heck, I had time to kill, snared, rooted, DoT, DoT, DD, DD, DoT.....one dead Yakman coming up. Soloed him easily as a 42 Druid.
This was fun

Two lvl 28 rogues (one of which was myself), one lvl 28 ranger and a lvl 29 shaman were just relaxing one day pulling Tizmaks. Then pops Yaka, we all con him red, but when the hay, he is in our way! The ranger pulls him and we start wacking away. we got him down to about 10% life and all the melees died. The shaman just started running circles around the area, and before you know it one of the rogues got his body back, and finishes off Yaka. Though we all died, he dropped the mace and I won the roll. Just a kewl story I thought I would put up.

I upgraded from this to a Centi Warhammer. WIS buff isn't as good, but I think you'll like it. :) If you'd rather have a 1HB with nice WIS, try a Springwood Club. Cheers!

In the past two days, I've hunted tizmaks for a total of about 5 hours. In those five hours (two separate playing sessions on different days) I've seen Yaka twice. Each time he popped at or near the entrance to the caves; on the first day, he popped at tiz2, at tiz3 entrance the second day. Each time he conned red to me (at level 30) and dropped the mace. Lost both rolls.

Why this weapon costs SO much...
# Aug 28 2001 at 8:08 AM Rating: Default
I just had this weapon given to me by a guilder and first off I can easily say that it is worth every last plat someone would pay for it. What makes the weapon great is a combination of several things... yes the +3 wis, +3 strength is a good starter, those are some nice stats to see on a relatively low lvl drop, the damage is okay at 7 but there are alot of things better... so that doesnt figure in, but what does is the delay. 22 is fairly unheard of for a mace at this lvl and it really does proc well in battle. I have been hitting as fast with this weapon as the enemies hit me, sometimes even faster. I consistently hit for right at 15 each whack which is decent for a Cleric. I used to wield a screaming mace and would hit for around 22 when the yaulp proc'd BUT I would only hit once to about every 3 mob hits, so hitting consistently at 15, means I am pulling down 45 damage for every one of those SM 22 hits.

just some food for thought...
Yaka Razorhoof
# Dec 05 2001 at 2:36 PM Rating: Decent
Yaka Razorhoof is a mid to high level 30's cons green at 55, but hits in the 80's. He can be snared and rooted well at 55 solo. I solo'd this guy within the walls of the Tizmack Caves by rooting and dotting (druid). The best tactic to solo this guy without aggroing the tizmacks is to go into the caves invisible, find him, and pull him to the nearest room with few tizmaks or an out of the way area. Be careful, there are roamers in the cave, and you will be in trouble quickly should a roamer join up. Fleeing in those caves is not a good option, as you will pull many on the way out. This is a great mace for lower levels 1 to 20, but there are some decent upgrades you can go to in 1HB after 20. Happy Hunting!

I have a few problems with ExerterIsLame's post. First I will quote the problem I have "22 is fairly unheard of for a mace at this lvl and it really does proc well in battle." This wep does not have a proc. I really love the posts set here, as there is valuable information to be gained. However, when people post as if they knew or possessed the item, and clearly do not. (you cannot confuse a proc with this mace, there is not a proc at all.) Please for everyone's sake, post on items you know something about.

Yes it does...Velium shards, random non-melee hit for 22 points. I know because I have one.

Very nice 1HB. I'll use this til I'm lucky or rich enough to get a Springwood.

Um, I dnt know much about all this, I just got one. but all veleum weapons procak at lvl 25. and they prock shards. Maybe you just have a lower level char? I do think its lame (even though most know its a given) that they dont put the prock on there....

Hmm, I'm thinking a weapon with +3 wis, and equippable only by wis casters. Maybe it's because decent weapons with wisdom on them are hard enough to get, without throwing in classes that can't use the +wis. There are lots of good blunts without wisdom for the Warriors. Avoids all of those "this is better for a warrior because of the taunt" arguments. After all, if warriors could equip it, the cleric probably wouldn't even get to roll on it.
RE: HUH ?? no warrior use ?
# Jul 24 2001 at 7:36 PM Rating: Decent
Well the classes that can use are all healer types if you look at it that way. Also notice no monks or Shadowknights?? So Verant has their reasons )

i don't see why they cost so much, i've never seen them go for less than 800 on sayrn. yeah, 3 wis in a weapon, so what? you can get 2 rings with +2 wis each for like 20pp. plus it weighs a ton. i gave mine to a druid friend and switched it for icepaw war claws that weigh absolutely nothing.
RE: you need to enter a subject
# Mar 31 2002 at 12:25 PM Rating: Decent
Never or, Always and. Words to live by. Equip this for the +3 wis, and then equip both +2 wis rings on top of this mace. Then equip your neckpieces and cloaks and bracers and everything else you have that adds wisdom. Not a hard thing to figure out, is it?

True, but you can't equip a ring in the primary melee slot. You can have this weapon, and two +wis rings. Plus, it has decent stats as a weapon, which is nice for those of us who are still low enough level to melee a little. Plus for clerics, the option of "switching to icepaw war claws" isn't available. Only downside is I would imagine it generates a huge taunt with those stats. Probably wouldn't swing it in a group, unless The tank was in real trouble.

Why don't you get on the game and make some damn pp instead of looking on here for stuff you can't afford. Put some more points into Int next time if you think people are actually going to listen to you and give you one.

I am a lvl 37 druid. An I started killing Yaka at lvl 32. He was blue to me at lvl 33. He had droped the mace every time that i've killed him. I sell the one i have then loot the one on him. So they are very easy to get. He spawns on the outside of the top tizmak tunnels and his most common place to spawn is inside the 1st tunnel were there are only two tizmaks at the opening. Happy hunting.

tracking
# Feb 25 2001 at 8:15 PM Rating: Default
A ranger i group with tracked Yaka several times in one day, once we killed him back to back (he popped immediatly down the hall). Haveing someone to track is a big help though it also helps with the wandering mobs as an early warning, thanks to his tracking we were able to avoid what would have been deadly (for us) encounter with a lost and lonely Guardian sharwurm (not good for group of 4 from 30 - 35) bottom line the easist way to get to yaka is to track ....from a tracker i have killed this guy 12 times now
