IUf your wearing 5 of these (face, 2 wrists, arms shouuders) does that mean 50% less mana to cast spells???
A: They're Lore, so you can only have one at a time.

yes, it has that effect, and i looted mine, while KoS to giants, so it can drop as well.

I heard this now has the effect "Mana Preservation II". Can anyone confirm or deny this? Thanks!

It does have mana preservation II. Saves me a nice chunck of mana on all spells lvl44 and below.
I recieved one in a Kael Raid several weeks ago. It is an ok piece, but with the mana preservation it is very nice.
I like to wear it on my arm. I wish it had a visual effect that I could see.

So...can I kill for it? I don't want to get it by being nice to stinky giants, that is really going to ruin the whole roleplay of getting the thing. I have wrongs to avenge, and giants must die!!! Erm, and stuff.

I have one of these on the Quellious Server and when you die it is not soulbound.. When I loot my body it defaults to my wrist slot so I have to move it to make room for my Blue Diamond Bracers

I have one in my arm slot. It's not soul-bound to me (meaning it comes off when I die) and when I loot it back on to my character, it defaults to the wrist slot. I then move it to my arms. You can move this item as you see fit, or not wear it at all. Trust me, I've done this.

There's always something better out there, and I'm not too thrilled that it won't come off. Plus, I hear the quest to take it of scares that spot so you cannot wear anything else there! nope, not worth it in my book.

You are right, this post about it not coming off is joke. My druid on Prexus is wearing one of these on her arm. It acts just like any other no drop item. There is nothing odd about it. It's a nice piece that drops in Kael. It is not a quest.

one of the few items to give wisdom to the arm slot. would be neat to wear this just for status sake as well (= (they need a new graphic though... really a mask on the back is just silly) (=

Kinda reminds me of Planescape: Torment, where you could 'wear' a number of magical tattoos... kind of cool.
