It is not plus 5 charisma, but plus 5 vs cold.
Proc is 60DD.

That was some kind of verant propaganda it would seem. The weapons behave the same outside velious as in it even so far as procing.
Similarly they said you have a "choice" as to which factions to raise in velious (dwarf, dragon, giant) However you really have no choice. Killing giants raises both dwarves and dragons and there are dragons you DON'T want to be kos with like the one in the wakening zone which is a pass through to other zones (teleporting to the zone ring when he's up pretty much equals death)
Also aren't all the class armor quests in the dwarf city, or are some in the giant city too?

On melting:
Currently ice stuff doesn't melt. My guess is Verant couldn't get the code working well enough so they dropped it... the hassles of having an item in the bank in a backpack with another item you need to get out in a non-Velious zone, etc...
On faction choices:
Dragons are meant to be killed, they drop good loot.
Kael has all the same quests (well, different items, different named items, same stats) as Thur, for the class armor stuff anyway.
Kael is a city you need to pass through on the way to other zones. As such, it's a great zone not to be KoS in if you can't invis (or even if you can).
Plus them dorfs drop great armor:)

Dragon faction is a joke, you need to kill at least 1 major dragon to get the key to sleepers Tomb, plus many mobs past skyshrine have dragon faction, you wana be non kos and limit where you hunt just to be lazy about ports... your just like the lamers that used to whine about live frog faction in guk

I say Faction is not a joke if you want the SS armor... and I do... Also faction for Rogues = Life. I am very faction conscious. Rogues have enough enemies without making more... Now after I have what I want... Then I will still try and balance the nice drops w/ faction ie., I will do things to fix faction B4 and after raiding zones I want to maintain.
All in life is balance nothing is black and white.

Absolutely NOT true! I have been to both Antonica and Faydwer with no signs of melting. Nice try though! I have been offered cobalt arms and 5kpp for this weapon, it is truly awesome.

Man, I know some 45+ rogues who'd kill for these. Unless I'm totally mistaken this makes a Slime Coated Harpoon look like a toy for orc pawns?!

This is for all u n00bs who think they know everything about a rog.....first of all..this is a sweet weapon..try weilding one witha set of handwraps and u will see how bad *** it is :/
Its a great weapon to use until u get yer epic..ive bsed close to 400 with it so far with a str of 209. and the proc is awesome also as it procs an average of 4 to 5 times a fight with it...240 to 300 extra dmg just in procs alone.
As for u ppl who say u cant evade with something that procs that often..WRONG..i rarely get hit using this and when i do i have had no trouble evading off the mob.

Posted: Feb 26 2001 at 6:07 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) really sick of you Gits twinkig rogues with no knowledge of the class, a weapon proc = BAD, they taunt onto the user of the weapon, as for a 45 plus rogue using this.. pffffth maybe in off hand, as a 54 rogue i wouldnt. bad enough so much no drop crap i have to hold a bag just for off hand weapons, swordbreaker (for bad groups with ***** tank) Guardian sword for svs on raid, Trollic skean for its kickass proc and a spare JDD for the extra 9 dex (leftover from side quest on epic)

You cant start rogue epic until level 50, no of the NPCs will talk to you about it. The most you can do is kill the general and pickpocket the 2 notes. Also, I doubt any guild could be screwed helping a 45 rogue kill the general!
Anyway I have this dagger, it cost me an arm and a leg, but it has a nice backstab. I think people who just give there alts a few items is okay (say 2 SBDs or somthing) But its very sad when you see level 3 rogues with nice weaps like this, and mrylokars armour and an FBSS. Anyhoo, thanks for listening to my infernal blabbering, ill shut up now.

uhhhh u can also go loot the book of souls in PoH, and if youre smart you will want to be looking out for the 4 robes that you will most likely have to get too. As for killing the general before 50 thats impossible considering you have to turn in stuff to the npc to get the box that you turn in to get the general to spawn, unless someone turns their box in for you i guess, but that would basicly mean they did your whole epic for you
One important thing about the proc taunting thing. With the reduction in the efficiency of the evade tactic for rogues, Verant also reduced the degree to which a proc taunted a mob. I don't know if the two cancel out. I'm a relative lowbie with my rogue, but I have noticed that even when my SBD procs, I'm not pulling mobs off of tanks quite so much. However, it is harder to get rid of them now :)

The taunt on this is minor. This is an amazing weapon for a rogue twink...or any rogue without their epic. I'm trying to get one for my rogue, mostly cause the look, when weilded, is amazing, much better than the epic.

I have one for my rogue that was given to me. My rogue is my main, and I love it. I am only level 38, so it doesn't proc yet, but the damage output is very nice, as well as the backstab damage *evil grin*

found in Icewell Keep (under Thurgadin, dwarf city of Velious), off of lvl 50 ice tentacles (or something like that)..they are pretty nasty...have high resists

Real name is a Frostspike, and from what i hear, no one likes to hunt them, no one wants to go near them, and no one likes to help out the people that need this =/. FYI: this weapon looks kick @$$ when wielded
