Scars of Velious
I was hunting in Velk's briefly last week. My partner and I killed about 3 spiders. Got a crystalline silk and a crushed topaz. He picked up the topaz, I had the silk. He traded loot with me. At first I was feeling kind of grumpy about it. After all, I'm a tailor and these silks are part of why I came to the zone. Then I went to the bazaar and saw what crushed topaz was going for. Up to 800pp? Wow.
Um, yeah, okay. My tailoring can wait for a while.

I have been hunting for two levels in CS and have two backpacks full of gems to show for it. I have over twenty different types of gems; flawed, chipped, imperfect....but no Crushed. Does anyone know which mobs drop the crushed gems in CS? I have only been hunting Wyverns, so it's obviously not them. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The haunted seachests drop crushed topaz as well as other crushed quest gems. I've killed 70 of them so far and gotten two crushed topaz and about 8 other quest gems.
Is it possible at all to crush a regular gem

I do believe this Topaz is a random drop Item, for I got 1 the other day in karnor castle:)

I think you are either lying or incorrect. Crushed Topaz is a vellious quest item. Karnor's Castle is in Kunark. Maybe you mean regular topaz.
He said topaz, not crushed topaz. There is a difference. Just seems that he does not know it.
Topaz drops off any mob level 30+ in any zone almost. Where Crushed gems only drop in Velious Zones only.
