About the stats...
# Mar 24 2002 at 4:25 AM Rating: Default
Simply put...this is the Plane of Fear...if the nasty looking mobs don't scare ya...why shouldn't the stats on the items?

I would take this if no other druid was in the raid (it's possible...), or they didn't want it....I've got 7CHA on each Wrist, 5 on neck, 15 on seconday, 13 on Head would add a lot to my shopping...cuz we all know as a soloing druid, if you actually keep what drops (you get all the pp's too!), and sell, with a lot of CHA, it adds up fast....I laugh when I see Druids mentioning how we have trouble with money....big money we don't get, cuz we're not the Warrior who just upgraded his weapon/shield/armor the 15th time and sells it in GFay for a nice profit his guild doesn't find out about....we're the guys who can sit and solo mobs until the cows come home, and rack in 100pp+ easy each trip...it does add up...and with as much CHA as you can get...well, finding those lucky buys on Vendors is that much more incredible (I remember the first time I saw a 6ac 65HP ring on a vendor for 250pp or something, and I put on CHA gear, and it dropped 60pp!!! In the excitement of how CHA worked, I bought it despite not being able to sell it to get a profit...and I've never looked down on CHA again..) this item rocks...if not for the weight, this would be perfect (I know all my other CHA gear is really light...but maybe this would be worth keeping in my EE bag til I need it, cuz that's a BIG CHA boost!)

Once upon a time.....

This used to be a good item.
Then came the new wis cap of 255....
Now this is pretty much garbage...
I got this item today by default, as I was the only druid remaining...
Might as well just bend over for VI.

all the old world planar armor..for every class...has int on the helm.

I'm pretty sure anyway.
All stats are important

I have no intention of insulting any of you, but i think none of you truly realize the true potential of some of this stuff. sure,it has no int, but the other stats are just as useful for other thing. IE tradeskills for int, int is important in all of them when determineng how often your skill level goes up, and also Cha is important because it affects your animal charms. Remember, Druids are a jack of all trade class, so therefore, their equipment should reflect that.

int is not important to druids if their wis is higher, skill ups and trade skills use the higher of wis or int. The rest I will agree with though.

He is correct this item was actually made to help a druid with trade skills and charm, nothing else. When this item came out INT was for trade skills. But I do agree that it should now have WIS and not INT...

***** charming animals...get quite a discount with +13cha on merchants :)
Awesome!

Just did a 8 man Fear break and the druid needed all the CHA he could get. A charmed Shiverback makes an awesome tank. Again thanks to the Zart who made this very possible.

This was the only druid item that dropped. )=
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 21 2001 at 2:27 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) My first thought on this is It suxxorz.. and it does so very much... But I believe every Stat is useful, so I thought.
What a joke!

Why are the stats on this helm more suited for enchanters then druids? Talk about pathetic...what was VI thinking about when they made Vermiculated stuff? Half of the stuff has INT (an no WIS), a totally useless skill to Druids IMO. It almost seems like VI was purposely stiffing Druids with this stuff. Oh well, once again, Druids get the shaft (again, IMO)!

Why INT?

What were they thinking when they put INT on a druid only item?
#Anonymous, Posted: May 02 2001 at 9:02 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This is actually a very decent item. At this point in a druid's career, maxing Wisdom while wearing this should not be a problem. Therefore, the Crown gives you more mana, more Cha (for charms), and more Int, which I've heard is the basis for how fast all casting skills raise. Admittedly, I would have loved a little Wis on this item, but it is still very good.
