Got one off a scareling in PoF today. Has 3 charges.

tried to se this today, as a shaman from right click in inventory..
couldn't use
"Your race, class, or diety cannot use this item" ...bah..

Just confirmed that while you can click it from inventory, you must be a chanter to do so. Similar to the rogue/bard illusion masks etc.

Does this have to be equiped to be used? If not anyone could use it.

It is activated from an inventory slot. It only has 3 charges and required level of 49.
What is the straight skinny on this wand? Must my 'chanter be level 49 before I can use it? Does it eat mana, as the data above seems to indicate? Must you scribe the Allure spell before you can use this wand?
Much of what I'm reading here makes me think that this is just one more example of Verant sticking their finger in the player's eye.
(Incidentally, I got one from a guildmate fresh from the Plane. It does only have three charges now.)

I was given one of these recently, the guy passed it to me as a gift, as it was given to him. Two charges were gone (out of 5) when I got it, and I was told he went from level 6 to level 10 in a VERY short period of time on those two charges. He said he charmed sand giants and had them do his bidding. I thought this would be a nice way to do some serious power leveling, but alas I found that Verant has inserted a message for those of us like myself who still want to believe that there just has to be some ways to powerlevel! At level 19, trying to use the wand of allure generates the message "You are not of sufficient level to use this item." OK, well, now I want to sell it. If I can't use it until I'm (maybe) twice my current level, well, I would rather have the money for it now. Only problem is, I can't seem to find out it's worth. All I know is a vendor actually offers me over 9 platinum for it. Anyone have any ideas?? (BTW, in case you don't know, Allure is, I believe, the third spell in the charm line for enchanters. Also, this wand is enchanter ONLY. There are several races that are allowed, but funny, several of those races can't be enchanters! Odd...

i dont think it well proc till you have the spell, makes it sorta useless and they are common, can't be worth much

sell to the vendor or keep it for a toy. better yet give it to me, im a little wizzy with no pet till 58 =P

Hehe, wizzies dont get a pet! At least, I wouldnt call something with 150hps and doubles for 50 a pet. Thats even worse than enchanters summoned pets! Thats tough to beat.....

but us wizzies would put mages out of business if we get any better pets. pet / mad nukes<much faster than mage nukes> TPs/TLs. / why would anyone play mage? cuz of free food?
